Has anyone used sandalwood powder to color soap? Thanks

I mix everything into my soap pot before the lye. I like to stick blend the "stuff" in my pot a lot before the I pour the lye in.

Zany, I'll see what I can do. Tomorrow I have minor surgery so this week is out. I'm trying to make a month of soap then take pics at the end of the month. Life moves fast so stay tuned.

Cotton is a harder fiber to dye. Wool and silk fibers open up and receive the dye very well. Continue your investigation, and hopefully you will share your findings with us. Good work!

I feel your pain re camera recharger... We moved. I could not find the charger. My husband need it, like yesterday, had to use the camera so we bought a new one. The very next day I found the original one. Now I have 2. If your camera is a Cannon let me know.

No, it's true. I look at the work being done now and it is way beyond anything I can do, could do, or ever attempted. I've accepted my limitations. Brown is a nice color. Tan is fantastic. Anything else is a happy miracle.

It's hard clumpy and I did a batch - it's soap but very, very soft. My numbers were good so I know it was not my formula. I know that given time I will be able to use the soap but no wrapping and no using until it's cured. I live in a dry climate so I am not too worried about DOS. I don't want...
