1 lb ground beef, venison or venison sausage
1 medium onion, chopped
3.5 cups shredded cabbage (or sliced long and thin) I usually use 1 small head or 1/2 of a medium head
1 zucchini, sliced or grated (optional)
32-oz carton tomato soup (I like roasted red pepper and tomato by Pacifica)...
I recommend buying colorants from soap suppliers. If they don't have a picture of the color in CP soap, I don't buy there. Lots of micas will hold up in MP soap, but that's a whole different thing. I recommend Nurture Soap and TKB trading. Wholesale Supplies Plus is good too, though I'm...
I'm going to go with cheat, b/c I think the cost of the box is included in the flat rate box shipping cost, vs the cost of the envelope. That being said, it's possible she's recycling a box that's be used once, in that case that's just smart.
I think how helpful masterbatching oils is really depends on what kind of storage space you have available, and also how physically strong you are. I found it not useful b/c the oils separate a bit, unless you are using the whole bucket, you really need to stir the oils up. Which is a hassle. If...
You can build one in an Excel document. Of course, it won't tell you if you are too soft. That would be cool - maybe a calculator could be built that would calculate the melting temp based on the oils you put in?
People can be sensitive to anything. If you like your coconut oil recipe, make that. If you are really concerned, you could also make some that are coconut-oil free.
I use the lip balm rules as my starting point:
A simple formula to help guide you in lip balms formulations:
20% Beeswax

Short answer - soap is mean.
I'm thinking that your swirling tool was too thin? You really need it thicker than you might guess b/c it has to carry soap through soap that is getting cooler and thicker by the moment.
I understand the theory but i am not a great swirler myself. I think it's...
I'm no MP expert but I don't think it needs a cure time like CP. I think it does benefit from a bit of time to dry a bit and to "set" - maybe like a week? But IMO it's fine to use right away - it just might melt away faster.
You don't need to seal it in plastic, assuming you live in a house...
It doesn't take much to melt MP. 1 square in the microwave was less than 30 seconds. It does cool fast so you may have to re-heat it a few times. It may be worth while to do a water-bath type thing - casserole dish with hot water and small bowls or coffee mugs with different colors of MP in them...
We've rented a pavilion in a local state park for Tgiving. Literally every Thanksgiving I can recall for my entire life has had gorgeous, sunny weather - sometimes cold but always sunny. So knock on wood that this continues! But even so, we're down from our usual 30 people to around 10.
It's...
How old is she? I mixed up some shiny mica in some clear MP and let my 10 year old nephew paint some CP bars with it. You could do that, or even make opaque bars of MP and paint with the mica.
Yes, it's the same. The kind we buy would also work as a laxative, except we're usually not buying food grade in bulk. I've used the drug store brands with no issue.
I wear gloves when I soap, mainly b/c it makes my hands super dry, which makes my cuticles dry, which makes me pick them until they bleed.
I don't wear goggles and I usually don't wear shoes when I soap.
Vanilla. In my experience, women tend to be much more concerned about "feminine" vs "masculine" scents.
IMO basically anything but florals are unisex. I'm actually putting lavender in the "herb" category here vs floral b/c lavender is definitely unisex. And a floral mixed with something to...
