Propolis in hand and heel balm

Anybody used/use's bee propolis in their hand/body/heel balms? I'm looking to add to my range of soaps and body balms and have made a few batches of balm using bee propolis from a local bee keeper. It definitely adds a unique aroma to the balm! It also has a good reputation for it's...

Question for UK sellers about MSDS sheets

The answer is no! I decided to record the batch No. from the Aldi OO and leave it at that. Also if you use palm oil (I do) and you want RSPO, a lot of suppliers to the catering industry (fish n chip shops etc) sell their palm oil 1/4 price of soap suppliers if you by in 12.5 kg boxes.

For UK Lotion makers. Lip and Heel Balms

Wonder if anyone can help. I've been making soap for 18 months and selling for the last 3 months and doing ok. (all safety tested and registered with the EU portal) Made some lip balm for family and then made some heel balm for my wife, and very nice it is too! Found the recipes were basically...

Who here makes soaps fragrance-free, essential-oil free exclusively?

I make one too, but is very slow to sell. But it is lovely soap, always turns out nice and white. Strangely, I've had two people ask me if it would be any good as dog shampoo!

Favorite soap you've made and why

My favourite is my Sweet Orange and Bergamot with Calendula Petals. The two citrus EO's really work well together and the calendula petals hold their colour and look great. The petals also give the soap a very gentle exfoliating feel. All my soaps have the same base recipe (UK/EU rules), cos if...

    Adding EO to oil?

Thanks everyone, thinking logically, I didn't think it would make much difference. I'll mix with the oils next batch. It's just that sometimes I'm blending away and before I know it I'm at trace and I think "s**t!! I haven't added the EO" and I end up more or less trowelling the batter into the...

    Adding EO to oil?

Is there a reason why EO is recommended to be added at trace? Would it make any difference if I added with the oils before adding lye? Just thinking it's one thing less to think about when getting the batter to trace.

Question for UK sellers about MSDS sheets

JuliaNegusuk .... I am also doing the same at the moment. I have got a couple of MSDS sheets from suppliers, others I have emailed for them ( a couple of times for one) and they haven't got back to me, even though it states on their website that they are available. The company I get my EO's from...

trade certified scales for soap making ( UK)

We will still have to adhere to eu rules unless the UK government decides otherwise. Plus, I don't think I'll be selling outside the UK.
