Lather from my 10 CO aloe bar. The bubbles get tinier and creamier the longer I wash. Not bad for a 1 wk old bar.

    Gelling and Scent Strength

All things being equal, the orange EO scent of my one and only batch of gelled bars is stronger than the ungelled bars. Do u think this is due to the gelling or over-measuring the EO on the gel batch?

    Soy Wax Users

"Our 444 soy wax is different from the 415 soy wax because it does have a soy based additive added to it, but yet it is still a natural wax. ... Our 444 wax can be blended with microcrystalline, beeswax, and paraffin waxes, has the same melting point as the 415, and a pour temperature of 135...

    SoapRecipe

I just dropped my cleansing number 7 due to dryness and am getting plenty of lather because I'm using almond oil as my HO. I'm surprised how little CO is actually necessary for lather. I've decided to use a bar from new recipes for hand washing. That way I get my use fix until they are cured...

    Zany's no slime castile

Someone in this thread metioned using fish tank sea water mix. Ur friend must’ve had a rock version of that. I’m tempted try the mix but I rcvd such good results from saltNsoda that I don’t think it can b improved upon...in terms of hardness, sheen and unmolding.

Hi Paul. I started with 120 CO bar and found it horribly drying and stripping. It was the worse thing my skin experienced since I fried it with presciption acne cream as a teen. I’d strike that recipie...especially if ur doing the salt version which is suppose be milder. I think its best to...

Is anyone using faux sea water instead of just salt in their non-castille recipies for hardness, sheen and ease of umolding?
