    Zany's no slime castile

Thx for sharing results. If u sell, u can mrkt ur soap as tested on babies not animals.:D Sounds like OO is drying compared to other liquid oils as others have reported. To confirm you would need test two bars made with same recipie with OO being the only diff. Also to make sure the baby...

    2 in 1 Bar

To use up the remnants of what could be considered a facial bar (no lauric/myristic acid), I stuck it to a new bar that could be considered a body bar (with lauric/myristic). It got me thinking. Has anyone intentionally created a 2 in 1 bar where its has two layers, one for the body and one...

    Maximum Oleic Acid

In light of @Zany_in_CO’s Zeawater Zoap recipie, I’m bumping this thread. Its been reported that 50% oleic is the threshold for soap with wo oleic gel. Do you agree that this is the threshold? Second question, can a high conditioning property counter act the cleansing property? For...

    Soap Is Not Moisturizing?

Thx Zany. Who says soaping can’t be glamorous? Ur zea water has my head spinning. I think the next batch of my stnd recipe will significantly drop the SW, increase the AO and use zea water to make it hard and glossy.

    Soap Is Not Moisturizing?

How did we go from moisturizing soap to peppermint p3n!s? Someone needs to steer this bus out of the gutter! Seriously, Im reconsidering the “conditioning” property on account how soft my skin feels after washing with AO/CB soap. I always considered HO filler but now I’m having second...

This recipe makes my skin feel incredibly soft. Is it the high Almond Oil or the Cocoa Butter that is causing the “softness” effect? 8O AO 15 CB 5 Castor

    Soap not hardening...Help!!!

For environmental reasons, I use soy wax instead of palm for hardness and longevity. Vegan commercial soap is typically 80% palm.

    Soap not hardening...Help!!!

The rock hard bar used @Zany_in_CO' a faux sea water at 1.7:1. Don't confuse hardness with longevity. Coconut oil (lauric and myristric acids) makes a hard bar but is soluble. For longevity (insolubility) you need palmitic and/or stearic acids. They also make a bar hard. You are getting...
