Flexible pouring containers- For wax or hard oils

They work perfectly for melting waxes like beeswax and even candle wax because you can easily pop out the excess wax and clean out your container without residue.

Flexible pouring containers- For wax or hard oils

In the larger two yes for the smaller one it barely fits so I use a mini mixer in that one.

Flexible pouring containers- For wax or hard oils

Cleaning out containers is always a pain especially when using beeswax or other waxes. You can never get it fully clean. BUT I found these little silicone flexible measuring cups that work great on clean up. You can just let the wax or butters cool and then turn these inside out and the wax and...

Just airing some soapy thoughts after a multi-bar very scientific shower study

Fragrance descriptions to me are like a sommelier talking about the notes in wine. I mean I can smell that fragrance and it smells nice but I don't smell the 15 note combination that they describe. I can also drink the wine that a sommelier says tastes or smells like cherries and apple wood with...

How to make a red colorant?

Trial by fire makes a lovely red however the one thing I don't like about it is the color comes through the lather and it's pink lather. Now it does wash out of the washcloth and doesn't stain but I've had a few people comment on it. Although I have to say my niece loves the "pink bubbles" from...

No stir Palm in bulk WSP

The bag wasn't sealed, it was just folded over the top. Either way I think it's ok but I emailed WSP just to make sure.

Just airing some soapy thoughts after a multi-bar very scientific shower study

Even my unscented soap has a scent to it. I use honey and oatmeal in that soap. My latest batch got a little hot so it smells like caramel honey and oatmeal. Quite a few of my customers that have a fragrance allergy like my soap because they can get a soap that smells good without the headache...

Just airing some soapy thoughts after a multi-bar very scientific shower study

Did you use the recommended usage rate or lower? I've not had an issue with the fragrances in my soap except for citrus scents. The citrus ones tend to fade quite quickly unless you use a stabilizer and even then they will still fade quite a bit.

No stir Palm in bulk WSP

The label on the box says Palm Shortening, the buckets I had ordered said No Stir not shortening but I suppose it could be referred to as shortening when it's in a box like this. I've let it sit a few days and it's softer now but not exactly scoopable. I had to use a knife to cut it. Since I'm...

    Happy SoapDay To Me 🧼🍰

My great grandmother had a jar that she used for her measurements. The soap wasn't really nice, it was brown and thick like paste and she poured it into this old clay jar that she always poured her soap into. Over time it would get harder and harder but it was never like bar soap. It also...

No stir Palm in bulk WSP

So I placed an order before I injured my wrist for bulk oils from WSP. Now I'd ordered oils from Brambleberry and some other places and thought that WSP would be similar in that the oils would come in buckets but not the no stir palm oil. It came in a box and I open the box and it's a 50lb block...

    Happy SoapDay To Me 🧼🍰

My very first soap was made with my great grandmother when I was little using her fat drippings jar and the wood ash lye she made herself. She of course did the measuring out although she never really "measured" anything. She just kind of winged it. But she let me stir the kettle over the fire...

    Egg Soap Lather

So I made a quick video on the lather of my egg soap if anyone is interested. It's kind of dark because I don't have very good lighting in my kitchen.

    Lard and Tallow

I actually use the PKO to offset the drying nature of the coconut oil. I've tried the recipe without it and I just didn't get the feel I wanted. I know, my recipe is more complicated than most but I've tinkered with it quite a bit to get what I wanted from my soap.

What soapy thing have you done today?

Well it's being very inconvenient now. I ordered a brace for it and for now am just trying not to move my hand and wrist to aggravate it. This getting old thing sucks. I turned 46 on the 11th and now I'm falling apart. lol

What soapy thing have you done today?

Apparently it's De Quervain's tenosynovitis. Which also has no known cause. Ridiculous rreally. And I have so much soaping I need to do. I want to get a start on next year's inventory,
