What soapy thing have you done today?

I've had calendula petals infusing in a little jar of sweet almond oil for the past few weeks and this morning made some chamomile tea that was promptly popped into the freezer. Guess what's on my itinerary tonight! :) @Zahara and @blueginkgo - both absolutely gorgeous soaps in their own right!

    3rd time try...

    Puree at number 3 - you're braver than I! Looks lovely. :)

    Actual baths

I'm not a bath person (we have a small one in our house for my son, but designed our Master Bath with a large, walk-in shower - loooove!), but a hottub... now that's a different story!

    Neem Oil Soap

@Sony Sasankan My understanding is that you really cant choose what oils stay as free-floating after the soaponification process so, while I used a 6% superfat for the recipe, I just included the Neem oil as I would any other oil and let the soap do its thing. :)

    Three Colour In-the-Pot

OUCH! A big order, yes, but that's still a hefty fee to be applied!! I've been dinged a few too many times with customs so stick to Canadian suppliers whenever I can these days. Insofar as soaping goes, I've been buying my EOs and (most) of my base materials from New Direction Aromatics (they...

Awww - thanks all! Obviously I'm overly critical of myself.

    Three Colour In-the-Pot

Thanks all!! @szaza Sadly I haven't had amyris long enough to be able to tell you whether ot sticks or not yet (I've also not been soaping enough to give you a long-time answer), but I've a feeling it's more of one of those EOs where it sort of melds into / adjusts the scent of whatever it's...

    Neem Oil Soap

@cmzaha - thank you for the very kind words! I've also placed a sheet of parchment on my racks as I just recently read about metal racks possibly contributing to DOS, but the warning is very much appreciated none-the less!

    Three Colour In-the-Pot

Just a simple in-the-pot swirl, but it was my first go with more than 2 colours. :) I also opted to keep the stick blender in it's drawer this time and brought the soap to trace by hand. Probably not something I'll do again (so loooooong), but it was a worthwhile exercise and I think I've a...

    Neem Oil Soap

15% neem oil soap with a first go at a 'hidden feather'. I was aiming for the image of a plant... ... ... didnt really achieve that, but I'm pretty happy with it anyway. I dont even mind the smell! lol I used a combination of geranium, tea tree, lavender, and cedarwood. I think they work with...

    Very nicely done!

Finally used accelerating FO to my advantage!!!

Lovely way to use to your advantage that which is usually seen as a detriment!

    Clays colored with plants

Really interesting experiments here. Does the clay help the natural colorant stick?

    Almost cured

    Very pretty!

What soapy thing have you done today?

BWAHAHAHAHA! That's amazing! No matter how jaded I become I still manage to be consistently shocked (impressed?) by the sheer idiocy of the human race. Either way, you present a good rule of thumb to follow. And, should I ever reach a point of soap-competency that I delve into sales I'll have...

What soapy thing have you done today?

@cmzaha This one is just for me and I mostly just wanted to experiment with adding something large to the top. I had large Himalayan on hand so that's what went on. :p That said, I appreciate the heads-up and will be knocking everything off before using. (Do people not do this anyway? I've...

What soapy thing have you done today?

First time try at a mica line and first time including a fragrance. The rivers were an accident, but I kinda like them. :) Any suggestions as to how to get a line straight at the edges?

Canadians, where do you buy your supplies?

@Dahila Thank you so so much!!!!
