    Best eucalyptus mint FO?

Thanks so much. I just went up there and they are really nice. I don't make a lot of candles and they made lots of suggestions, which I appreciate. Last year I made some for Christmas presents for friends and family, but my customers saw them and wanted to buy some, so I had to hustle because...

    Face routine and favourite ingredients

I also make my own toner, face wash, C serum, face cream, face oil and many other skin care products, such as soap, lotion bars and candles. I started just for my family and friends but then it grew from there and now we are all very happy! It's fun, healthy, costs way less and people actually...

Assigning kraft packaging to product types

I bought some Native deodorant in a tube like this and when it came I couldn't push it up at all. It was just totally stuck. I called the company and they sent me a new one, that does work fine, but I don't know whether I would feel confident that it wouldn't happen again, which is why I...

    Unreasonable?

Could you use a pvc pipe instead of a cavity mold, to make it easier and less labor intensive?

    Soap tester questionnaire

I find that many people who have not used real homemade soap have become very accustomed to commercial soaps, which are really detergents, which have way too much lather and are full of chemicals. So there's a bit of an education people need when using real soap for the first time. If you are...

    Long lasting bath bomb

I'm going to try your detox bath salt recipe. I have one additional ingredient that I usually add, which is magnesium flakes because they also apparently get absorbed and most of us don't get enough magnesium...

    Soap Very Soft

Thanks. I'll up the lye and try again. I did have coconut oil in the recipe but missed putting that in the thread.

    Soap Very Soft

Will do, thanks. I was trying for a recipe that I could work with that would allow me to take time and do a lot of swirling without getting thick so fast. I was afraid to add sodium lactate because I thought it would get too thick too fast but maybe I'll try that too.

    Soap Very Soft

You are right. I accidentally left out coconut oil at 10%/ Thanks for the feedback. I'll modify the recipe and try again.

    Soap Very Soft

I got brave and tried my first slab mold soap with the column pour technique, using the recipe below because it said it would be slow to trace, so a good swirl recipe... I added sorbitol and ROE, sprayed with alcohol, covered with plastic wrap, covered with wood top and then with towels. I...

    The heat and hold method?

As I understand "heat and hold" it wants a consistent temperature over a specific amount of time. I do heat and hold for a few of my products - a toner and cbd oil - and realized that whether I used an oven, a crock pot, a kettle, or the stove, the temperature would fluctuate because once the...
