What soapy thing have you done today?

Do you cover each bar individually, so they are air tight, or just put the plastic wrap loosely around them?

FO Vendors Cost Comparison Table... because I had nothing better to do with my valuable time.

This is great, but I can't figure out how to download it as a file. Is that a possibility or would you rather not allow that?

FO Vendors Cost Comparison Table... because I had nothing better to do with my valuable time.

Hi Winsome and Wicked, I love this spreadsheet and think it is very useful. Is there a way you can post the actual spreadsheet so we can download it? That would be awesome! Maybe attach a file?

Hi MominWA, you might look at General Bottle. Their prices are quite competitive. Bottles Wholesale - Wholesale Jars & Containers - GBS

    Which Diffuser does everyone recommend?

Hi DeeAnna, I actually have that diffuser and I do not like it at all. I got it because of the great reviews, but when the mist comes out, it is very weak, even on the highest setting and it goes straight down, so everything around it gets wet. I have to use a fan to get it to go up into the...

What soapy thing have you done today?

AliOop thank you so much for doing all this work and organizing the recipe. I wanted to try her recipe but also got a bit intimidated, so this will encourage me to try it I hope. I've only tried making LS once before and it was very time consuming, so I kind of backed away from it, but this...

    Lotion bar recipe question

Thanks for the info. I might try a small batch with mineral oil and see. I'm in Southern California and many customers prefer no animal products, so no tallow, lard, etc. I always read how great those ingredients are and would try but my customers wouldn't buy.

    Lotion bar recipe question

Hi DeeAnna, I would like to try this version of the lotion bar, but am wondering if there is a substitute for the lanolin that you might recommend for our vegan friends? I was wondering maybe Babassu oil?

Making sugar scrubs from soap shreds

Too funny! I totally misunderstood and thought it was a lip scrub and I must have completely misread the thread. Thanks for clarifying. I think my mind is going!

Making sugar scrubs from soap shreds

Does the sugar counteract the taste of the soap when you use it on your lips? I imagined that it might taste like soap?

Where do you buy your bulk oils?

I like New Directions and Lotioncrafter often has lower prices than other places, but I also do Olive Oil and Coconut oil from Costco. I find WSP prices to be almost higher than any other place.

    First Market

Your table looks beautiful. I love the learning curve when doing these types of events and have modified what I bring and how I display and am still learning as I go. One of the things I like is interacting with other vendors, who become friends, so I look forward to seeing them at the next...

    Mixing Waxes

so 1 oz of beeswax in a 16 oz amount works out to be about 6%. I can mix that with soy wax 464 yes? I could just use straight soy wax but since I have beeswax and coconut wax I was hoping I could mix them all and get a nice candle, but maybe that won't work so well.
