What soapy thing have you done today?

I made some Goat Milk Soap! Yesterday was busy. Blueberry Cheesecake - still the mold. (unmold this pm) And for Mother's Day, GM Tulips & Jonquils. Bought some fake stems that arrived yesterday and applied the 1st Tulip to see what it looks like. I think I like it!

    Goat milk vs Cow milk

I've used both types of milk. Both work fine. Goat milk has more label appeal than cow's milk. I grew up milking cows - I never want to milk anything again - if I can help it! Yes, I raise goats - Myotonic or Fainting goats but, I do NOT milk them. They are a heritage-bred meat goat. I buy my...

Or...... you could make soy room fresheners with them! I grow flowers for farm bouquets and use some of the dried flowers as decorations!

Advice for scaling up Goat Milk Soap to large batches

I currently make about 99% GM soap. I moved up to a larger mold about 2 yrs ago (11 lbs) in which 3 nice nice logs cut down to 1 inch bars. This makes 30 nice sized bars all at once. I use fresh GM. No powders or frozen. I LOVE the smoothness I get using the fresh milk. Thought about moving up...

I will NOT buy any new fragrance oils!

Sorry to say but, this thread is funny! I truly believe one MUST be a FO/EO addict in order to be a soaper. I have (almost) no control! I refuse to send pictures.........my soap room is too crowded! So, like Nicole, I'll say: Hi. I'm Sherry and I'm an addict.
