Is it Soda Ash? Unincorporated Coconut Milk Powder? or something else?

Hello friends! I've got a conundrum here. I recently made a batch of unscented soap using Coconut Milk Powder. The final bars started looking ashy within 24-48 hours of unmolding. They were unmolded 24 hours after making the batch. I used my regular recipe (attached) with only the Coconut...

This recipe felt like it set really quick, First time making it.

The EXACT same thing happened to me my first two batches! I made due because I was then sure that I had no unincorporated lye and the bars turned out perfectly fine. I'm very proud of them! You should be very proud yourself too!

This recipe felt like it set really quick, First time making it.

My recipe is very similar to yours (Royalty Soaps?) and I stick blend my 1 kg of oils for 10 seconds. My first batch I did closer to 30 and it accelerated. I agree with everyone else that I think it was too much stick blending. If you're like me, and you're afraid of false trace and...

    itchy scalp remedy

My mom has an autoimmune disorder that triggers rashes all over her body, predominantly her scalp and back of neck. For the past 6 months, she's been using my blend of 50/50 jojoba and argan oil. She loves it! It's the only moisturizer she uses now.

    December Un-Challenge - Retry

I've been planning to do this/these soaps for a while now and actually received my desired fragrance oil two days before this thread was posted. I TRIED doing the Travel Soap Challenge from October 2018 combined with the Discolouring Fragrance Oil challenge from September 2015. This was my...

    Soap Layers Seperating

Welcome tru4reele! Could you please elaborate a little more about your process (exact measurements of ingredients, how you mixed things, etc)? Those look pretty cool to me. What do you mean by separating? Are they falling apart? Or is it your mix-ins that are separating from your MP base?

    Soap recipe for dry skin?

@Rsapienza My mom gets eczema due to her auto-immune disorder. She likes using my 50/50 Jojoba/Argan Oil blend. What do you like to use as a moisturizer?

    Buying MP base

I use MP canes in my CP. You just make them and throw them in! I made a lot of MP for years before moving into CP recently. I used to buy low-sweat MP because I didn't want my MP soaps to sweat when I gave them away, and I've just been using it up. Crystal Clear is very nice as well. Use...

Any tips for Melting Hard Oils Without Microwave

I DID IT!!! I used my PP jug and immersed it. I stood there holding it so the bottom of the jug wouldn't touch the bottom of the pot. It's all I had right now. I brought the water to a boil, then turned it down a bit and took my time melting. I all worked well! Excited for tomorrow!

Any tips for Melting Hard Oils Without Microwave

I'm still very much a scaredy cat! LOL I'm still so afraid of my lye, I use 75% ice to 25% water. Heat transfer method is still too advance for my comfortability right now. But thank you for the vote of confidence @Hope Ann ! I appreciate the faith you have in me. @gww I am the offspring of...
