Just a note about the softness: I think it might be the added water when you rebatched. I would only use water if it's been over a week. I think since your original soap wasn't very old, there would have been enough water left. Did you try a zap test?

@Zing is right, @CLMP... I bought mine from the local health food store; mine have a choice between cosmetic and ingestible. The only difference was that the ingestible came in capsules and the cosmetic came loose in a jar. I went with the jar :p
