I was thinking of making a 40% coconut 60% lard or crisco with borax and fragrance for my laundry soap. Does this sound o.k.?

I have tried dried, finely ground orange peels. They exfoliate while adding a little color. They provide no scent. I have added corn meal too. :) A little dark chocolate, green sencha tea. Those are some i have used.

I've used it. It is very expensive. Now, I either order it from my supplier or I get it from Walmart.

I have this. Maybe it will get you 3 lbs. Try 2 cups of oil. 4 oz. lye. @ cups liquid. Its a very small batch but more than one lb. Hope this helps!

Melt and pour is so cool and gives artists the chance to be creative where cold process can be a bear to work with at times. I love them both.

I have used organic food coloring that I got from the health food stoe. Did not work at all. Next time I will try some of my son's melt n pour dye. I wonder if that will work. It is a liquid.

I agree, Digit. A good dress code should definately be enforced rather than forcing parents that are at or below poverty to purchase expensive French Toast uniforms. Most of our public schools (in my city) are in real academic trouble. I'd think that education should be the main order of business.

Hi there! Today I found some light pomace for $16.79 a gallon at Gordon Food Service. Is light pomice the best olive oil to soap with? I am really trying to find some less expensive oils and nutrients to work with.

I would like to get some powdered goats milk as well. Where can I get that besides a health food store? Does Walmart have that? I know they have canned liquid.

I'm going to offer some of mine to the food pantry at my son's school. Had never even thought to do so. :idea:
