Can I ask how did you reach to that conclusion?

    Aloe, aloe!

I would think the process. For the gel direct from the plant you just scrape it and blend it and its suuuuuper goey, like mucus, but the store bought is liquid, so for starters i would think is diluted and with some things added, like sugars and flavors and colors cause the stuff from the plant...

    Soap Is Not Moisturizing?

This. Im one of those people that neglects moistourizing after a shower, i never put any kind of lotion on my legs, and i always had that dry skin that looks flaky and ashy on them. And then i started using my soaps and that look on my legs is gone. They also feel softer. Its obviusly the soap...

    Soap Is Not Moisturizing?

“Why bother with all the oil combinations?” Well i cant talk for every soaper out there, i bother with all the oil combinations because different oils bring different things to the soap itself. More bubbles? Bring that coconut! Less slime? Less olive. More creaminess? More lard. Too stripping...

    Aloe, aloe!

I have a couple of plants so I use the real stuff, no additives added. I also freeze it for easy storage. I honestly dont see much if any difference between aloe soaps and plain water soaps, but i use it because i have it. I use it for 100% of the water.

    Post your Gripe

Oh god yes and my personal favorite is the signs at the door “push” and they pull, “pull” and they push. Why?! But i was thinking about someone fighting me because... i agreed with then. No, i did not say “i agree with you” explicitly but that is what the text was saying.

    Help with superfat

To transform oils to soap you need a certain amount of lye. So lets say you have 100 grams of oils and your recipe with 0% superfat calls for 10 grams of lye. Those 10 grams of lye will make the 100 grams of oil in to soap. To superfat you would need to add more oils than what the lye can make...

    Soda ash

My gelled soaps rarely get ash. Maybe you can try and get them to fully gell.

Do not forget “your” and “you’re”. I third this. I studied literature, i cant stand those mistakes SPECIALLY if they come from publicity cause that is what people read. And lets not talk about publicity that comes from the government. How can they just not hire someone who knows how to spell?

    Palm Free!!

Thanks for the info! I get it now, however the provider I am looking at is not a supplier for that manufacturer. They list the flakes for candle making because they do not melt? So my guess would be: get the other kind!

    Palm Free!!

What does 415 refers to? Melting point?

    Palm Free!!

A question for my soy wax users: i found a supplier that list soy wax at high and low melting points (do not specify what is a low or high melting point) one of them looks like is in flakes and the other looks like blocks maybe? Any advise on what should i get?

My first soap making attempt :-)

Soapcalc will give you a bit of info of each of the oils you select. Or just google “oil properties in soap”. You can use basically any oil you want.

    Cocoa Powder colorant

One of my first soaps was made with cocoa powder and a pink mica. The mica faded a bit, the cocoa powder looks the same color as the new bars.
