    Where Is Everyone?

Wonderful and good luck! I used Etsy as a testing tool. It isn't a good idea long term. I received very good feedback and they were great for later customer testimonials. I do my own photography as well. The photos I post here are cel pics lol. But I take that part as seriously as I do...

Today’s soap thing is a CP that’s stuck in gel mode

I use to get those free boxes from USPS and make soap in them. I've used all sorts of things for soap making until I felt I was ready to have my molds customize to fit those standard soap boxes.

    Where Is Everyone?

Thanks everyone for replying. I don't do markets anymore since I decided to go another route. I did Etsy briefly as well. Both were interesting and sometimes it was actually fun. I'm always experimenting and developing new formulas so whether selling or not I'm always working on B&B as well as...

    Where Is Everyone?

Are there any B&B crafters here besides myself? If so, what are you working on?

Help can I fix this problem?

When my soap looked less than gorgeous, I would label it Esthetically Challenged and sell it with a .50 cent discount and people loved the quality and didn't see the imperfections that I did. When I first glanced at your soap I thought it was intentional. Is this for personal use, a gift, or...

A picture of ricing, volcanos, separating, overheating

I'm so fortunate that I've only experienced ricing once and the mild Pringle can explosion. I remember being disappointed that I couldn't CP that fragrance I really liked. This is a good thread for new soapers. Although some will be terrified 😃

Today’s soap thing is a CP that’s stuck in gel mode

[QUOTE="GGMA0317, post: . I've never taught CP( outside my family) but I stand by my previous post. We will agree to disagree on that.

Today’s soap thing is a CP that’s stuck in gel mode

The purpose of teaching with those formulas are simply to become familiar with soap making process. They are easy to handle and they can see the various stages. I'd Just ease them into it. Several batches soap can be made in a short period of time. So if a new soaper is comfortable with making...

Today’s soap thing is a CP that’s stuck in gel mode

Your also new at it. But if I were to teach soaping I would start with either 100% OO, 70/30 or 90/10 because I've done numerous batches of each with no problem. If this were my soap I would make a batch of LS using the same CP formula and then I'd mix the CP with the LS during dilution. I've...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I've only been organizing my supplies while my new 3X24 and 2X24 inch molds sit there tempting me. I just gott an order of surf's and essential oils that need my attention as well. But I can't focus if my supplies aren't organized😔 But soon I'll be posting my new babies in the gallery😃

Today’s soap thing is a CP that’s stuck in gel mode

High content olive oil soap is one of the easiest soaps to make. It's so well behaved I wouldn't hesitate to make 10-20 lbs at once!😂 But I only make mine with essential oils that behave as well. So be sure to test all your additives. I'd offer advice on the gel soap but you would have to know...

Soaper's Choice - fast in & around Illinois

I've been a customer for 15 years and I've ordered several cubitainers of sunflower and olive. I always buy my pko, lanolin and palm from them as well. I recently tried to place an order but the website kept closing the checkout page before I could complete it. This happened several times so I...

    A Few New Soaps

Very pretty! I wish I could smell them 🤤. I'm planning some lavender-patch and a blood orange blend. I got some new molds and essential oils a few weeks ago and I'm very anxious to use them. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

the box, the gel, kiss of ash....

All I can say is your a way more patient new soaper than I was.🤭My soap gels sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't affect the quality of my soap so 🤷‍♀️ Nice camouflage design though👍🏻

Why wrap in a towel after pouring?

😏I remember reading those soap insulation instructions and following them. Then I realized I couldn't follow them anymore and that's when I learned it wasn't necessary. A billion batches later, some gel (on their own)but most don't and I'm a happy soaper😁

Table Sugar to Increase Lather and Bubbles?

I tested various percentages all the way down to 0. I didn't notice anything.

    I tried it but I didn't notice a difference. 😏

    Oat soap

Looks like it simply overheated. Perhaps soap at RT if oat milk is that sensitive. I've used all the other forms of oatmeal but never oat milk and never overheated. So maybe I should try it🤔 what does it add to the soap that the other forms of oatmeal don't? Very curious🤔
