    Are these stearic spots?

Not sure if that's a typo for the amount of honey powder (the amount in your original post makes more sense) but if not, that's a lot. I still say air pockets. It may have overheated a bit but that alone won't hurt anything.

    Recipe Tweak

Your coconut oil % is very high for my skin. I use at 15% max, though 20% max is typically recommended. You will find some who are ok with it, but most find it far too stripping. Are you averse to animal fats? Lard is the lowest cost oil for me, by a lot. It is half the cost per ounce of my...

    Slab mold cuts??

I pour to 2.25" thick. I split horizontally so I end up with 1" thick bars after planing.

    Are these stearic spots?

Was there any liquid oozing from the pockets when you cut it? If not, I'll second air pockets. Could you post the full recipe used including lye and water amounts?

    Slab mold cuts??

I bought 6" slabs so I could do 2x3" bars. I'm not fond of larger sizes.

    Cold process soaping temperature

I masterbatch lye so use that at room temp. Oils are as warm as needed to melt clear. I don't worry about them being close.

Business Name confusion? Can I get your help?

I agree with @artemis above, I don't search by seller. It probably wouldn't be noticed much by existing customers to have a small change. The one @Kari Howie suggested seems the simplest and technically doesn't change your name.

    My Newest Saga

I'm so sorry you have had to deal with this!! I'm not sure why bank managers feel they have the right to meddle with other people's lives. Do you have another bank option that you can talk to prior to opening and account about your situation? You might be best off just switching to another bank...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Allepo soap is lovely! I'm not sure I could pinpoint who anymore, but a group member included allepo in an exchange we had eons ago. I love the scent!

SMF April 2023 Challenge-Faux Funnel Technique Designs

I agree that the buzz about entries makes a difference. When I keep an eye on the blind challenges, I tend to find new to me winners.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I try to give each of my colors a quick stir as often as possible. They thicken more just sitting there. It looks lovely anyway! Kudos on your 1st soap 🙂

    Never ending printer frustration

I bought a $40 HP a couple years ago and have no issues with it. I tried the instant ink program and hated that, but the printer itself has been the best one I've had in probably 20 years.

What soapy thing have you done today?

Yesterday was a market. Today the only soapy thing I've done today is order oils and adjust my recipes for the new mold I ordered on Monday. I am ecstatic to be at a point where I can size up this much for my top 10.

    BBW Mountain Frost

3-5% is what most of us use for soap. I haven't tried that scent, never ordered from Lone Star. Do they have reviews? That's where you'll find a lot of good info about performance and fragrance "stick" if the company doesn't include it in their descriptions. Take a gander at Nurture Soap or...

What soapy thing have you done today?

The FO isn't the only thing that can affect how quickly your soap moves. How much you stick blend, what oils you use, temperature can also make a big difference. Try doing very little stick blending and using oils that are slow to trace, like lard.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I updated my fragrance spreadsheet. I was horribly behind, not just on newly ordered f.o.s that I've gotten recently, but older ones that I've used and currently have for sale.

I added mine, but my favorite thing about it isn't listed. The actual making. Mad scientist!!

    to store cured soaps

The plastic shoe boxes are exactly what I use. They don't seal airtight so I don't bother with holes.
