    My other crafty schtuff

The smallest is about 10". The bigger ones are 33 and 54 inches tall. Those ones are made with tomato cages.

    My other crafty schtuff

Thanks! I don't do anything with a cutter, I keep telling myself I don't need anything else to do! 🤣

    My other crafty schtuff

When I do markets, I take more than soapy things. I made a name for myself a couple Christmas' ago for gnomes and get invitations to some markets just because of them.

HP Rebatch vegetable oil soap i need some answers to some questions

You don't have to use milk, you can use many liquids, the easiest is water. You don't want to use an oil unless you are rebatching because it is lye heavy.

    Looking for a Coconut Scent

Oregon Trails has a terrific straight coconut scent, Coconut Breeze, no discoloration and soaped wonderfully.. Coconut Cabana from Micas and More is also great, but more complex, pineapple, vanilla, sandalwood. I use it in salt soaps, discolors to tan.

SMF May 2023 Challenge: Spoon or Spatula Swirl

There isn't anything in the rules against it, but I'd like clarification. Mica line between layers - yay or nay?

    Fragrances that sell?

My coffee soap is popular. I brew triple strength and use that for 33% of my water, then I use the grounds in my soap as an exfoliant with a latte FO. I market as a kitchen and garden soap. Overall, fruity and fresh scents are my best sellers.

    Spring Fling 2023

I'm very introverted and am uncomfortable speaking to people I don't know. I follow a rule similar to Melissa's 5/10 foot rule. If they are just glancing over my products, I don't say anything beyond my greeting. If they stay for a minute, I'll ask if they are looking for something particular...

    Soap Hardness

I love 100% coconut with 20% sf and 50% salt, but only after 6 months + cure.

    Soft soap -sticky when unmolding

30% water is fine. Individual silicone molds always take a long time to harden up. There's less soap so less heat with no insulation. It typically takes 4-7 days for mine, depending on the intricacy of the design, while the loaf will be ready in 24-36 hours.

Roundish soap-how do I make that?

The Pringles can has a thin plastic layer over the cardboard. I used Pringles cans in the early days soaping without lining them and never had an issue.

SMF May 2023 Challenge: Spoon or Spatula Swirl

No such thing! A spoon swirl is super easy and the most forgiving since it works well in thicker batter.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I made my first batch in my new mold!! I'm excited to have 3 batches made all at once in just 1 mold. I stuck with a staple that I needed to make, but it's a simple one with no color - OMH. And it's Wet Soap Wednesday! 😀

SMF May 2023 Challenge: Spoon or Spatula Swirl

Please copy & paste the list into a new post, then add your name along with the next appropriate number. Sign up list: 1. Servant4Christ 2. The_Phoenix - A spoonful of soap makes the grime go down the drain. 3. AliOop - This is my go-to rescue technique for those suddenly-thick batters. Ya...

Must have fragrances from Nurture Soaps?

8th and Ocean, Satsuma, Bourbon St, Star Showers. Earth Meets Sky is the only patchouli heavy scent I can stand soaping with.

Different milks in cold process soap?

I used to use cow milk. It was what I had on hand and makes a nice bar (OMH is my mom's favorite) that many of my family members appreciate. It sold well for me when I started selling, but I regularly had people wanting goats milk and not buying because it wasn't goat. So I switched. No one...
