    EO pre lye?

I didn’t when I used a stick blender but I switched to hand whisk and figured it was an incorporation issue. Just don’t know if EO accelerate in base oils pre lye or if the lye and EO combo causes acceleration with some EOs. I’ve been adding my EO to my kaolin and mixing before adding to my...

    EO pre lye?

Can you add EO and clay pre lye? Since switching to hand whisk to avoid thick trace I’ve had clay spots in the finished soap. I’d like to know if I can stick blend EO pre lye and not get fast acceleration? Many thanks

I have a large patio area with low walls and a table, access to an outside tap and a plug socket just inside my conservatory for my stick blender. We have festoon lighting so I can work in...

More companies are cottoning on and some big brands are appearing in the supermarkets at reasonable prices as well. One is selling for £8. The market is changing. I’ve just checked 4 ranging from £4-£12 and all are syndets albeit milder sulphates. What ingredients would you use in a sulphate...

Nobody wants to try shampoo bars unless they're free...

I tried. i rinsed and rinsed and then used vinegar rinse. We used them for nearly 2yrs and tbh I adjusted very quickly. The issues started very late into usage. On purchasing I did’t know they were soap not shampoo because of the cryptic (frankly outright lies) on the packaging. both billed as...

Nobody wants to try shampoo bars unless they're free...

I tried two from Lush as they were a gift before I realised that the company were not as ’fresh’ as I had been led to believe. The other two I tried were soap shampoo bars but not marketed as soap. non sulphate cleansers weren’t readily available here and these companies sold their products as...

I love the idea of shampoo bars but the reality after a year and half of use was they’re no good for me. I tried Lush syndet bars first which I didn’t like then found a great company which sold a shampoo bar I loved soooo much I used on my 4yr old as well. My horror when a year in I noticed his...

Ditto @Babyshoes De ionised water from Tesco is less than a quarter of the price of distilled water on Amazon. Also had no problems using it either
