After you've cooked soap until it no longer zaps, there is no reason I can think of to put it back in the oven. CPOP is when you put cold process soap in the oven after pouring to make sure it reaches full gel, but there is no reason I know of that you'd want to do that to fully cooked HP soap.

I have to talk myself out of buying big molds. If I make bigger batches, I won't get to make soap as often unless I start selling it. And that sounds like a lot of trouble.... Those slab molds look like fun though...

Mine wasn't. I superfatted at 3% and left out castor at 5% and it wasn't lye heavy. Lye is never (from what I understand) 100% pure and I used oil to mix my oxide color and it was fine. Who knows. You'll find out in a few days. 🤞🤞🤞

The fizzy bath salt was a win, but the sugar scrub cubes were a fail and I threw them in the garbage. I made some lotion bars and they turned out well. Regular sugar scrub is next...

Re #3- yes stop cooking as soon as it's zap free. Re # 4 there is no benefit in cooking soap so long. Usually mine cook in 20-30 minutes, but I cook them hot. Even on low I've never had a batch take more than 45. No idea why your soap wouldn't harden. Can you give us more info on your recipe?

I made some fizzy bath salts and some sugar scrub cubes. The fizzy bath salts smell good and fizzed when I washed the dishes, so I think that one is going to work. The first sugar scrub batch was a fail, but I'm sure it will work as regular sugar scrub. The second one held together better...
