One very interesting thing I've discovered is that different people smell different things in fragrances. One peppermint FO I used had a chemical smell to me but my sister loved it and said it smelled just like peppermint candy. I used a Beach FO that I thought smelled just like suntan lotion...

I have a nice batch of soap that has completely lost its scent. I want to rebatch to add scent (I'll look at the maximum IFRA scent amounts before I add any). Is one method of rebatching better for this? I was thinking about milling it as I'm not in a hurry...

I use 25% coconut with 2-3% SF.

@Zing and @CreativeWeirdo y'all need to come visit ME. No tips with the coconut oil as I store it in my kitchen. Also we don't have much winter

I've made one that is 75% lard, 20% coconut and 5% castor that is very nice.

Interested to hear your results. I've made high percentage animal fats bars (lard, tallow and lard+tallow) and they're best after an 8 week cure. 12 is even better. Welcome to the dark side....

@gww Every time I add aloe, it turns the batter yellow/orange. Thankfully, the soap comes out white anyway.
