Hello! I made a 100% CO soap and it turned pink! Have no idea why... has this happened to anyone before? It has 33% lye concentration and no additives, just plain lye and CO. I also mixed for too long jaja that’s why it looks so bad... but look at this color It’s crazy!

The one on the right is from the other batch and the one on the left is the new one (1% CA), you can still see some red. And it also has that weird discoloration on the top and bottom, I suspect is from my wire cutter but would appreciate any ideas.

Thank you :D I zap tested but I'm not sure about what happened. tried on the specs and felt nothing but then found a tiny whole in the soap, it looks like it has something solid inside, like salt and when I zap tested I heard something but I'm not sure it was a "zap", it sounded like the normal...

I just saw my soap had a weird color, I only used Activated charcoal and TD, have no idea what the red could be... The only thing I did Different was the citric acid... could this be it? Any one has had something similar? I also see small white specs :/

Have you used the citric acid + salt combo? If so, have you noticed any difference? I soaped at 40 degrees (both lye and oils) but didn't check the temp of the batter afterwards, I think I've never checked this. Which is a normal temp? What should I be specting? I'll pay attention next time.

Oh this is so good to know! In fact the soap that developed DOS doesn't have any salt in it... Maybe for my brine bars I don't have to use citric acid. Why do you use such a high SF? Is it because of the PKO? or because of the salt?
