Thickness of Cut for Bar Soap

I bought a multiple bar cutter and had it spaced for 1 inch bars. I wish I'd had it spaced for 1.12 or 1.25. I think a slightly larger bar would have been better.

What to do with old FOs

My concern would be how to determine a safe use percentage if the labels are faded and it's difficult to see the name, etc. Would the supplier still have information for products this old?

    Help me identify these spots!

At one time I used to buy Bramble Berry's 35 lb. buckets of pre mixed oils. I'd sit the bucket on a heating pad, aim a space heater at the bucket and let it heat up all day. The oils never got as clear as a completely liquid oil. I used a really long handled spoon and stirred it up and then...

    Done w TD!

Yep, I gave up on TD ages ago. Nurture Soap's Winter White is white enough for me. Mixing TD is tedious and I never seem to mix it up enough. I'd rather be doing something else with my soaping time.

    Great Ylang Ylang FO

Nurture Soap has a Ylang Ylang & Amber that gets good candle reviews for me. It's probably good in soap, also, but I've not tried it.

    Bulk Apothecary scent issue

How did you find out Lebermuth made the BA scent? What kind of research did you do and where did you look? I often wonder whether vendors like BA and CandleScience get their fragrances from the same place but I have no idea how to find that out.

    Craft sales THIS year

I doubt I'll do any shows before a vaccine is available (I'm over 60). I got into soap making as a hobby, because I needed something to occupy my time. I started selling because I made so much soap I needed to figure out how to get rid of it. Going to fairs and festivals then became an...

    Where Is Everyone?

Yes, I have my own website. MAXSMIXTURES.COM. It's hosted by GoDaddy. I built it myself using their tools. I take all the pictures, except for the cover photo which was taken by my brother-in-law. I used to use a white background for the pictures but really liked Kiwimoose's pictures on a...
