Anyone Have "Cures to Pink" Examples?

That's not a bad idea. I had been talking to my sister who is not a soap maker about my dilemma, and she actually thought of that too. 😆 Like duh, I've totally seen soapers do that and I didn't even consider it. 🤦‍♀️

Anyone Have "Cures to Pink" Examples?

Well that's very helpful. I was leaning towards pressing on, so unless someone else has a different opinion, I'll probably take the plunge with fingers crossed. 🤞

Anyone Have "Cures to Pink" Examples?

@MelissaG I seem to recall you saying that you used a Petrichor scent once that did this, although you said that the color reverted back to normal after a while. If you had a picture of the discoloration that would be amazing, but if not what sort of pink are we talking here? Is it like...

Anyone Have "Cures to Pink" Examples?

Does anyone have an example of what it means for a fragrance oil to cure a soap to pink? I've heard that it's the petrichor element that can do it in some FOs. My bottle of "River Stone" from WSP says it does it, as does "Thunderstorm". I've been concocting a color scheme based on my visit to...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I had it in my mind to start trying to formulate a shaving soap and through talking it over with my sister we decided that before I plunge ahead with buying some KOH, we were going to try using a 100% NaOH soap that I made a little while back that had a super amazing lather. Today she tried it...

    Color and fragrance help

If you are making a one color soap, a 5 gram mica bag from Nurture for me has approximately 4tsp. So check the usage rate on the mica to see how much soap that will color. 1 ounce bottles generally will scent 650-950 grams of soap depending on your their usage rate and how strong you like...

    Peach.

It depends on the type of yellow and the type of pink, but I bet you could get what you are looking for with the addition of TD if your colors are too saturated. You could always just disperse a little into some oil to test it out.

Whimsical Bagels and Pure Goat Tallow

I will! It's going to be hard though. My sister is the one that uses salt bars the most in my household and she's out of the previous batch I made with a different recipe. I'll make her wait at least six weeks and then if she starts quickly going through them, I'll cut her off and make her...

Whimsical Bagels and Pure Goat Tallow

Yesterday I made a batch of salt bars using a recipe that @Obsidian shared. They are scented with Nurture Soap Champagne and they also have poppy seeds and cornmeal in them. Because of the poppy seeds I figured "bagels" was a more accurate description than "doughnuts". I had wonderfully fluid...
