Gifted soaps. Are they being used?

I noticed that too, just find it adds up a lot to the costs getting the empty bottles and labels. Maybe I should look up more options instead of Amazon The other thing is that I started making soap to reduce waste, so I'd feel really bad bad buying plastic bottles Thank you everyone for your...

Gifted soaps. Are they being used?

Hi everyone ☺ Here I am thinking to make soaps to gift for Christmas. But I have this in my head. Are my gifted soaps being used? I have gifted some soaps in the pasts and most people don't really make any comments about the soaps I had given them. So does that mean that they weren't used...

    Dish soap??

Thank you! So how do you personally make a HP soap with 0% superfat? Do you test your lye? I looked at Deanna testing, it's super cool! Actually incredible that she did all of that. But that's a little too much for me 😁, it just proved that our lye being 99% pure it's a lie 🤣

    Dish soap??

Thank you! I imagine some people may have extra hand sanitizer after this pandemic. I know! I just find that a good dish/laundry soap needs to have all the oils used up. I find once you get used to the test strips that you have you're pretty close, then I do a zap test, I just don't want to...

    Dish soap??

Hello 👋, I have made dish soap high in coconut oil, I found it very very drying on my hands, to be more environmentally friendly I started making soap with used oils like my mom used to make, I also use tallow and lard that I render. A lot of tallow is wasted, tallow makes wonderful soaps. The...

    My liquid soap separated!!

Yes! I forgot to make it very clear that I ONLY add the extra lye when I make dishwashing or cleaning soaps, (that's what I make often, lots of dirty dishes here, scents give me migraines) as I found them to be a lot more cleansing. The test strips in my case help me to know that the soap is...

    Liquid Soap Separating During Cook

It looks so good! You got a big crock pot going on, looks like the one I have, when you make small batches you need to watch because it hearts up unevenly, so keep the heat on low or keep warm (be patient) it also looses more water during cooking with a big crock pot. You may need to get a...

    Dish-wash bar / laundry

Ohh I'm sorry... I found this: Homemade Glycerin Soap Recipe (From Scratch) I was intrigued and wanted to try to make glycerin soap. Hand sanitizer alcohol was what I had so I made a dish soap. It was very interesting how cleansing, it cut through fat so well, and had nice bubbles. It was...

    Dish-wash bar / laundry

Hi 👋 Do you mean to use the suction bow? I don't like when the soap has water residue and gets that weird consistency. So I made liquid soap. But koh is harder to get and usually more expensive. Then I noticed people using small dishes and I thought it was a great idea, because I no longer...

    Dish-wash bar / laundry

Hello! I'm new here. So I feel like I don't know enough to make comments. But I have learned so much in the last few years from you guys that I wanted to thank you all for this forum 😊 I started making dish soap from 100% CO. We had so much left over lard so I started experimenting... my last 3...
