    Soap's In Shower

It's been a really fun project, and now I am way more interested in the design of the bathroom than I was before I started soaping! 😆

Have you noticed any practical diference between the oils? ie, a lather difference

Dual lye shaving soap recipe check please!

I've read this shaving soap thread though several times. https://www.soapmakingforum.com/threads/my-first-shaving-soap-is-a-success.34264/ I'm planning on using roughly the method @DeeAnna outlined in post #50. I've attached the recipe I've settled on, but I would love to have it checked...

My husband is in the process of building us a shipping container house, and I'm working on getting him to do something similar too!

My new favorite (soapy) YouTuber - so relaxing!

I love that, because he mentions topics and stuff I never would have come across otherwise, because I'm so new! I usually prefer videos with almost no talking though 😅

    Documenting my progress

Somebody posted one of these yesterday(?), I think it was you, and it send me down a major youtube rabbit trail! But I can't find anything similar. What's the basic process behind making these? I'm so curious!

What soapy thing have you done today?

This is such a pretty soap! Today I got to package up some soap for the first time to use as a birthday gift for a friend! She is sensitive to fragrances, so I picked a couple of unscented bars and scribbled up some labels. She is pregnant, so added some Castile for the baby! I'm so excited...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I forgot to post it! We live in a barn at the moment, and this soap manages to make the whole place smell amazing! I got a bit of ash on top, but I was very pleased overall. I used my loaf mold as a mini slab mold. I think I've mastered getting the temp right to avoid false trace on small...

I ended up buying from Amazon, so I guess I'll have to wait on the other supplies! 😅

SMF March 2021 Soap Challenge - Air Blow Technique aka Dutch Pour Technique aka Wind Blow Technique

Thanks @earlene! I probably won't attempt this month's challenge, that does sound pretty advanced! I can't wait to join in in the future!

What went wrong here? Pine tar soap

Thank you, I see how some small differences could add up pretty fast, especially with me fixing the fragrance error etc. My temp was vastly different too as I was trying to avoid the false trace I got on the first batch.

What soapy thing have you done today?

My batch last night had random scraps of wood and a rubber band involved.. 😅

What soapy thing have you done today?

I just stuck a batch in the oven, my first one with fragrance oils or colour, and first attempt at CPOP! 😄 Nurture soaps Comfort and Joy scent that @rdc1978 kindly sent me, and added some coffee in half the batter for colour.

What went wrong here? Pine tar soap

I'm confused, my two recipes calculated to the same finished volume, but filled the mold to completely different heights. Anyone know why it would do this? The first one filled it perfectly, and the second one was a lot shorter

SMF March 2021 Soap Challenge - Air Blow Technique aka Dutch Pour Technique aka Wind Blow Technique

I might have to give it a try sometime then! Is it too late to enter this month? I'm not sure when my latest supplies order might arrive 😬 (I don't currently have any colours)

SMF March 2021 Soap Challenge - Air Blow Technique aka Dutch Pour Technique aka Wind Blow Technique

Oh, ok!! Thank you! Some of these challenges are so outside of my skill level, but I'd love to give them a try sometime!
