    Fit of conscience

@Deborah Long If you're not comfortable telling, you can always send a private message. But I'm sure quite a few of us are curious...

    face masks

Thanks for sharing! We recently bought some printed masks, because even in the midst of a pandemic I'm still an environmentalist who hates most disposable items. I was wondering if you have come across any recommendations on how often they should be washed?

    Freshest Soap in the World

Since I was curious and looked this company up, their ads keep showing up on my FB feed. Thanks Google. One of the pictures on the site looked like HP to me. I was also curious about the ingredient list. I can't imagine (what I assume is) additives being the first thing listed. And I was really...

    Decisions, decisions

Buy the telescope! It seems pretty obvious to me that you really want it. You have other molds you can use while you save the money for the slab mold.

    Salt bar questions

Based on @dibbles and @cmzaha posts, I decided to try my salt bars. Wowza! I have been converted! The batch I made isn't as pretty as @DKing's and they had some ash. I got immediate later and so many fluffy bubbles! I can't wait to make more and now I know that a 4 month cure is good for this...

    Salt bar questions

@DKing those are lovely! I made my first salt bar in April and have been impatiently waiting to try them. I used a 80% Coconut Oil and 20% Olive with a 20% SF and 20% salt. I can't wait to give them a try.

    What's your Royal Name ?

Lady None Crackers of Fakta or would it be Lady Petless Crackers of Fakta? Either way, that's not sounding super noble.

    Coronavirus

Over the past month, there has been an increase of cases in Denmark. The country had implemented social distancing rules on public transportation after the lockdown was over but has since rolled those back. We heard from a friend, starting next Saturday masks will be mandatory on all public...

What oils will make a moisturising soap.

All soaps need a cure time. 4-6 weeks is a good starting place. Over time, the water in your soap will evaporate, making a harder, milder bar of soap. There are molecular changes happening that makes your soaps better over time. You can use your soaps sooner, but the quality won't be as good as...

    Coronavirus

Tickets have been purchased. Necessary documentation has been sent to my mom. Now we just need to keep her virus-free until she gets here in just under 2 weeks. The county she lives in has been reporting 100 or so new cases a day for the past few days. She asked if we wanted her to bring...

Entry Thread for July 2020 SMF Challenge: Welded Soap

I gave a lot of thought to this challenge and came up with the idea of using a cookie cutter to make my pieces as close to each other as possible. This snail cookie cutter worked nicely. My plan was to use individual molds to help keep the sizes consistent. My batter thickened up on me and the...

    Coronavirus

The family and I met up with a friend of ours and her boyfriend for the afternoon. She greeted me by giving me a big hug. I think it was the first hug I've gotten from a friend in at least 5 months! And she loves my soaps, she even bought 3 bars. My hubby suggested that we try to get my mom...

SMF July 2020 Challenge - Welded Soap

You can visibly see the layers and I didn't try very hard to pull them apart. They seem like they are stuck together pretty well.

    Confetti Soap Ideas

Yesterday I said I wanted to up my confetti game, so I did. I used a peeler to shred some soaps that I felt were less than perfect and used my heavy accelerating FO to make layers. I added some TD to make it a pretty white so my confetti colors would stand out. I'm super happy with how these look.
