    Natures Garden Coriander

Based on your description, the first thing I thought of was a base color of 3 Olive Martini mica with a ploppy drop swirl of Tall, Dark, and Handsome mica mixed with Tempest mica (to get the color of kalamata olives) and Winter White mica for the salt. Will it look like an Olive soap or a 70's...

Alaskan Glacial Mud in facial mask

I got my package of clay from Dibbles yesterday! I'm going to give it a whirl tomorrow and I think I'm going to try a 3:1 ratio of the glacial clay to egg white powder in almond milk. I don't have sensitive skin but do have largish pores, so we'll see... I'll let you know :)

    Coronavirus

    1) I never mentioned politics in my previous post, so I'm not sure why you would bring it up in this conversation. ( Political comment deleted in quoted post above - against forum rules. ) 2) I don't understand your comment of how you find it shocking that I would let this disinformation (that...

    Coronavirus

With all due respect @paradisi - We essential workers have been putting others' lives first since the onset of this pandemic. I'm a CT tech in a large hospital and as such I've been on the front line for Covid cases from the very beginning since CT is the preferred modality for imaging Covid...

I would be interested in 3 to 5 pounds or more if this has a stable shelf life.

To sell or not to sell...

@AliOop Thank you for all the great advice!! When I decided to create a business I went to our accountants for help and advice on how to do so. Insurance was a must (I have mine through the Guild), and they recommended against an LLC in my case. The reasoning behind this was that even if I kept...

    More WSP woes

I still order from WSP (although not nearly as often or much as I have in the past) when they have items on sale that I use on a regular basis or things I'm curious about, but no longer for anything that I need in a hurry. Like if I'm down to my last couple of pounds of whatever and they have it...

    Needing some validation

I bought a pair of $400 shoes from a company who makes their shoes by hand and I have zero regrets. I adore the shoes and I'm supporting a smallish business, so it's a win-win situation. Take a peek at these gorgeous shoes...

Seeking: Neroli (orange blossom) FO or EO that's accurate or close

My husband's family have owned a 40 acre citrus grove in Florida since the 1890's. The soap I made with FB's Citrus Tree is by far their favorite, so that's the only one I use now. It's a light, delicate scent that holds well in CP at 1oz ppo, but it does accelerate a bit. If you've ever been to...

    Very eye opening

I'm really curious what 2-word phrase was in question in this case. Like was it something obvious that would be recognizable to the average consumer to cause this extreme action? I've had issues with a blatant copycat and infringement of my company name in another state. Here's a link to my...

What to do, what to do

Maybe I'm a weirdo, but usually I have an idea for a soap and then go hunt down a fragrance to match. Once I have the fragrance to match my idea, then I pick out my colors. BTW, when I say "go hunt down a fragrance", I mean from my own stock. I'm an unashamed FO-ho and have an entire bookcase...

    Need design ideas

You could use a vanilla color stabilizer. I'm forever in the debt of Irishlass for recommending Bitter Creek North's VCS. I works sooo much better than anything I've tried in the past. That should take your soap down to a tan or maybe even a cream if you're very lucky! Or you could swirl with...

    Post your Gripe

@Catscankim, Oh girl!! Our last CT student was so clueless that everyday she was there if felt like an episode of "Candid Camera" or maybe "The Twilight Zone", lol!! Like is this person for real?? How did she even make it through Xray school, much less pass her registry with this lack of basic...

cupuacu butter in soap and lotion bars?

Oh, Zing! I feel your pain, lol!! Many years ago I was engaged to a guy from Thailand. While I was attempting to learn Thai I made soooo many blunders. My Italian heritage apparently caused quite a stumbling block per my Thai pronunciations and accent. On one notorious occasion I announced to...

Glass and lye; truth or myth?

I've never really understood this issue that has been around forever it seems. Specifically, I don't understand why people want to use glass/Pyrex. Aside from the possibility of breakage, it's far more expensive and cumbersome than using plastic pitchers and bowls/buckets for soapmaking. Am I...
