Adding Citric Acid Last- Lush Bath Bomb Technique?

I haven't seen anything like that unfortunately. I starting making bath bombs years ago from a tumblr how to that just said to mix 2 parts baking soda with 1 part citric acid and add food coloring. Since then I've just retained little tidbits from various how to posts on pinterest and from Soap...

Adding Citric Acid Last- Lush Bath Bomb Technique?

This is how I make my bath bombs. I try to estimate how much moisture i will need to make my bombs stick together once the dry citric acid is added so i will add that amount of witch hazel and mix it in before mixing in the citric acid. The dry ingredients absorb a lot of the moisture and...

    The word association game

Wave I laughed out loud when I saw what word you picked. My boyfriend is a physicist and is currently working on a personal project to replicate results from a declassified military experiment from several decades ago that dealt with using Hime theory to defy inertia. Hime Theory is some weird...

Who knew bath bombs were this tricky

Recently I made the Pumpkin spice bubbling bath truffle recipe from soap queen. It calls for 1 oz glycerin for 65 oz of total ingredients, and makes ~20 bath truffles with that recipe. I know truffles are different that bath bombs but I hope that helps if you are still trying to determine amount...

    Metallic/Liquid Metal Bath Bombs

I believe it is metallic micas. I've not seen any other products that are bath safe that would produce the liquid metal effect.

    Norwex

I've heard of Norewex and their claims are dangerous! Silver does not kill bacteria the way they claim, it suppresses the ability of bacteria to multiply. A wash rag woven with silver would be good to prevent it from becoming riddled with germs or a smell, but cleaning with only it and no soap...

    Lumpy Oat milk lye solution

I found an old thread about working with oat milk as @Lin19687 suggested. https://www.soapmakingforum.com/threads/oat-milk-soap.27304/ I think next time I will try as @Fragola suggested in this old thread and dissolve the NaOH in water, then try mixing in oat flour. Not sure when I will get to...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Today I beveled the edges of my 2 day old castille bars. They're just for an experiment and don't need to look pretty, but I definitely needed the practice!

    Lumpy Oat milk lye solution

Why do you choose to rinse the oats several times? Perhaps there is some oil from the oat kernal that gets rinsed away with this method. Since i didn't rinse that could have causes small soap specs- or at least on theory. I will try rinsing my oats repeatedly next time I make oat milk. Thanks...

    Lumpy Oat milk lye solution

6 weeks ago before I found this forum I tried making soap with oat milk as a water replacement. This was the first time I ever used a non water liquid in my soap making. I made oat milk at home by blending 1/4 cup plain steel cut oats with 1 cup distilled water, then I allowed it to sit for 1...

    Castile Slime

I made my first castille recipe 2 days ago. I noticed you said yours is 2-3 weeks old and producing slime. My goal with the loaf I just made is to cut it into 10 bars and test each a month apart for 2-12 months curing time :) My recipe had no additives, just olive oil, water, and NaOH, and no...
