    Doesn't look like fruit

Thanks @Zing and yes those are shavings. Thanks I did add a little red but not enough. I have the orange vibrance but I used orange saffron with some neon orange and a little red.

    Doesn't look like fruit

I wanted to make some soap that looked like the fruit that it represents. As you can see, they don't really look like an orange and a strawberry. I'm going to do some carving on them to see if I can get them to look like they are supposed to.

    Sugar to soap

I have never done HP soap but you can use in CP soap making. You can use around 1 tsp of sugar per pound of oils. You will dissolve it in the water that you are going to use for your lye. Once it is dissolved completely, then add it to your lye. Make sure that it is dissolved completely or...

    Questions on rebatch soap

I can't answer your rebatch question because I don't rebatch my soap failures. However I will point out for you that there are a lot of citrus FO's that have plenty of staying power but they are expensive. For example; awaken from nurture soap remains strong in my soap. I have a 3 month old one...

    Help with soap

Welcome! I would recommend that you take the time to figure out what you expect from your soap ie; I want a long lasting soap, I want a lot of lather etc. Then start playing with a soap calculator. To get you started here is my go to recipe. Lard, coconut oil, palm oil, high oleic safflower...

Homemade Vanilla color stabilizer (VCS) summary

You can use the powder but I don't know how much to use because I did my test with the crystal

    Stumped

Here is the confetti soap that I made yesterday and it looks like that it was the FO from the confetti bleeding out. Because this confetti didn't bleed.

Beer and dragons, what a night!

I didn’t have any problems with it and the beer powder itself really doesn't have a smell to it. And the FO is not affected by the beer powder. It does turn your oil a light tan so you want to pick your colors accordingly. It gives you what you want from beer without the hassle.

    Stumped

I shaved of the bottom and they look great now and the bleeding will only be noticed by me anyway. Lol

    Stumped

I thought about that and it could be the FO because the recipes are the same. I used 2 different soaps for the confetti and the only difference is the FO's of the soap. I'm going to do another confetti soap today and I will see if this same thing happens again. However I am leaning towards the...

    Stumped

The soap was very easy to cut and I'm pretty sure it is not the FO.

    Stumped

I made this soap yesterday and I was very excited to see it cut but I am not sure why it crumbled on the bottom and the dark spots near the scraps. I'm guessing that the crumbling and dark spots have something to do with the scraps that I used. However I've never had this problem before with...

Beer and dragons, what a night!

Thanks @Zing. I try to draw inspiration from my life. It turns out that my past is more interesting than I thought. My grandpa and grandma were not emotional and I never heard I love you from either one and for many years that bothered me. But a few years ago an old memory popped into my head...

Thanks, my grandparents were colorful and that is putting it mildly.

Beer and dragons, what a night!

Thanks, I have a recipe that produces a very white soap. Then I gell my soap for least an hour @145°F plus until it turns translucent. That gives me vibrant colors with just a tsp ppo of mica and I can usually cut my soap around 8-12 hours later without a problem.
