Hmm, never had a soap fail because it's too cold before.

Maybe you're onto a new product! 😄 Playdough soap! Play with it until you're clean! 😆

What soapy thing have you done today?

Totally jelly and happy for you! 🥰 We are using a shower filter to help with the itchy after-shower effect of hard water (which bothers me more than the hubby). It's ok ~ but it's the best we can do in the apartment 🤷🏼‍♀️

What soapy thing have you done today?

I came across her pins on Pinterest which led me to her blog ~ she has a lot of good information and recipes 😄

What soapy thing have you done today?

There's also a thread in the forum discussing our favorite soaper channels on YouTube ~ lots of good information there for doing research. Just type in "favorite YouTube channel" in the search bar and it should come up. The important thing is deciding which path you want to take: cold process...

What soapy thing have you done today?

@dmcgee5034 I was thinking the same thing because I was reading the comments and reviews in the product description and it was all about how awesome it was for making cheese dip! 🤣🤣🤣 Which is why I came back here and asked if it was the same product used in soap making! 😄

What soapy thing have you done today?

So ~ I bought sodium citrate ~ AGAIN! 🤣🤣🤣 This time from Amazon so it will be here Tuesday and I will be able to make soap next weekend! Yay! 🥳🥳🥳 On another note ~ I've been using a bar of that recipe I made with the lavender slurry that was originally going to be for my mom and I'm loving...

What soapy thing have you done today?

So problem ~ I've been sitting here waiting for my sodium citrate to arrive and I just received a notice that I received a refund (with no explanation as to why, mind you). When I went to the website, it says they are out of stock ~ not such a shock since they were running great prices on all...

    Underrated and Overrated Soaping Ingredients

Ironically, I was doing some searching for something else and came across a thread about substituting almond oil for olive oil in Zany's No Slime Castile recipe ~ I'll try to find the link and insert it but you can find it by searching for "Zany's No Slime Castile" in the search feature ETA: I...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Windy Point is where I got that amazing dark purple clay ~ and they haven't had any more since 😭 I've been watching though 👀 👀 👀 I have flunked patience a couple times myself 😄 mostly when I was working with high percentages of olive oil, which takes a while to firm up in the mold. But now that...

What soapy thing have you done today?

That happened with my lavender slurry soap experiment ~ my poor husband 😆 The scent throughout the tiny apartment finally faded after a few days (at least that's when he stopped complaining), but now I'm finally using a bar and it smells lovely with each shower 🥰 Patience is the hardest part!

    Zing Junior's first batch

Good to know ~ I was wondering what would happen if the 2 types of PO were combined 🤔

Trouble shooting and improving goat milk soap recipe

No judgement from me ~ I love them too! I've used goat's milk, buttermilk, the almond coconut milk, and a blend of all 3 😁 So many milks ~ not enough time! 🤣

Trouble shooting and improving goat milk soap recipe

I'm not sure either ~ the one time I made it, I made my own and I still have some bars left so I haven't made any more yet. Now, that being said, I did use store bought almond milk to make the oat milk. As mentioned in my earlier reply, I use Almond Breeze brand and I get the one that's almond...

    a delayed thank you

That's adorable! I wonder how your homemade products did for her daughter's skin disorder 🤔 Such a sweet story though! So glad she shared it with you! 🥰

What soapy thing have you done today?

That's what I'm hoping! I haven't done the measuring per cavity so I don't know if they will be closer to a full size bar or a "guest bar" size, but they seem to be a decent size. Each cavity has a nice depth to it! And I was mistaken ~ the mold was only $3 not $5 😁

What soapy thing have you done today?

I did get my palm oil but my sodium citrate hasn't arrived yet so no soap making ~ however, hubby and I were out and about today and hit a couple of thrift stores and I found a silicone mold of various flowers for $5 😁 I have a few on my wishlist on Amazon and they vary in in price from $10-$13...

Trouble shooting and improving goat milk soap recipe

@Lanie BTW ~ I do love your pencil lines in your soap! I hadn't thought about adding neem or chamomile powders as pencil lines ~ I've been adding them as infusions into my oils. Nice work! 😉

Trouble shooting and improving goat milk soap recipe

I will second that opinion of oatmilk soap ~ I have super sensitive skin also and started making my own soap to avoid fragrances and artificial colorants and well anything artificial. I followed the path of goat's milk soaps and it was ok but the results weren't what I was expecting. Then I...
