Yes!! I once made a 'chocolate soap' with 25% unrefined cocoa butter (colored with cocoa powder and melted chocolate) that actually smelled like chocolate even though I didn't add any fragrance. The smell also stayed for a long time. Laurel berry oil also has a very distinct smell in soap. I...

    EOCalc.com Blend Reviews

I've been using a soap scented with the woodland blend that I made in April 2020 (so +2years old) and it still smells very nice and strong. When I first put it in the shower the entire bathroom smelled of the soap (which isn't that impressive since our bathroom is tiny). The bar was packaged...

Wood ash lye - asking for a friend

Hi Ladka, I didn't like the overwhelming smell of lard nor the slimyness, so I tossed the soap when we moved in 2020.. So no updates I'm afraid

SMF April 2022 Soap Challenge - Straight Line design

You can use mica lines - the no extra techniques rule is for within the layers (so no itp swirl layers etc). However, the mica line doesn't count as a layer nor as an extra color 😉

SMF April 2022 Soap Challenge - Straight Line design

@AliOop I actually found that making separate batches was faster than making one batch. Still not sure why that is🤔 I mixed my lye solution each time, so it was very hot and the soap traced faster, but you could also masterbatch both your lye and oils. You can even add your fragrance to your...
