What soapy thing have you done today?

The fragrance also has a high vanillin content. I think the two came together nicely! I have some dutched powder I intend to try eventually. I have an unscented soap with cocoa butter in it. People swear they smell the cocoa but to me it's just soap smell. 🤞🏿 And have a red and yellow hanger...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Took my 6 new soaps to fellow vendors for a smell test. 12 of them already sold Neroli x 4, mango x 3, all others 1 🤯 Tobacco and Bay leaf loved by the ladies and gentlemen🤯

    Stick Blenders

I got a waring quikstik one on eBay recently for the exact same reason. Does the job perfectly but the shaft doesn't disconnect and it's a very bulky thing. Air bubbles banished so far🤞🏿

Question: is this a good idea

I'm gonna give it a go with my next round of soaps 😳😬🤞🏿 Gonna withhold some lye water for the colored batches, mix them up then combine them. I know it won't be lye heavy. But the superfat is gonna be 🤷🏿‍♂️

Question: is this a good idea

Working with infused oils for color usually means making one batch of soap batter per color. This leads to a lot measuring and mixing and dirty bowls (30 for my last 6 loaf episode). Doing it this way would drop the workload immensely. And yeah, I realize we never have control of the super fat...

Using a coffee urn for masterbatching oils?

I have a digiboil wax melter that says it'll hold 9.25 fluid gallons of melted wax. Paid $169 for it I believe. Only tested it to the point of making sure it heats up so far though...

Question: is this a good idea

I didn't think it was even possible until I watched that video

Question: is this a good idea

I was watching this video just now and it blew my mind at the 58 second point. So I've got this question. If I mix up a batch of 100oz soap batter that accounts for 7% castor oil in the lye water but excluded the 7oz of castor oil. Mixed that batter to emulsion. Then split that batter into...

New to coloring bar soap, looking for help

I've used two options. Himalayan rhubarb infused in oil (pure HO sunflower oil soap with 3% of it being infused [at 1.46oz in a quart of oil] ) and madder root "tea" added to the lye water (pure palm kernel oil here I think). Both soaps plain are white so it didn't take a lot to get them red.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I couldn't wait😁 1. Chocolate (CC) - combined purple [Alkanet root] and red [Himalayan rhubarb] to get brown🤞🏿 that's looking more like baby poop🤣 2. Tobacco and Bay leaf (BB)- in the pot swirl of red and orange [tumeric infused oil]. Both were very very light🤦🏿‍♂️ 3. Neroli (WSP)-...
