    DOS?

    Sounds like a great plan!

    DOS?

My approach is always better safe than sorry. Yes, it sucks to lose a large slab of soap. But what is your business reputation worth?

    Hi everyone 😄😄😄

I'm back again. I use Zanys no slime castile soap (ZNCS - discussed here) that is mild and long lasting that may work for your needs. There's a Bastile version that subs 15% of the olive out for 10% coconut oil and 5% castor oil.

    Hi everyone 😄😄😄

Me too. Good plan. No I haven't. I'm not familiar with tamanu and argan is not an oil I would put in soap. I would put it in something that stays on the skin for a long time (lotion or body butter) first. This is where the collective group is awesome. I'm not experienced enough yet to make...

    Hi everyone 😄😄😄

Hello and welcome Mimi! For some of us, bad experience with some product is how we got here! Mine was lotions. There are folks here who are patient, knowledgeable, and eager to help you learn. And they are nice too! Absolutely! I'm fairly new myself but I speak from past experience as well...

Thought I had conquered DOS... it's back! At a loss :(

I installed one made by express water in my house. I have an unlimited supply now😁 I take a 5 gallon jug with me too farmers markets and give it away in ball aluminum cups (it's usually uncomfortably hot) I think one of your tools is the problem. But that's just my gut. I assume that your oils...

Thought I had conquered DOS... it's back! At a loss :(

One thing I do is re-rinse my hands washed tools with RO filtered water after washing to avoid water spots.

    Grams vs. Ounces

I read it as "I'm more accurate using grams" and all the battiness goes away 🤷🏿‍♂️

What soapy thing have you done today?

I tested my shave soap using that other soy wax and it's pretty awesome. Still don't know what I'm doing, but not bad

Soaps causing skin problem on hands

The site says there are no inactive ingredients in the castor oil so it's pure per the site.

Where did you learn to soap?

I started on YouTube then stumbled on to this forum. I've learned so much from so many here with the patience and desire to educate

    Too much Fragrance oil?

I base fragrance on the size of the oil phase. My typist hates me so I'll edit the post above to make more sense
  17. justsomeguy

    Too much Fragrance oil?

I think that's too much fragrance. I'd've done 2.5% of the oil phase. And not decreased the liquid oils. 2 5% of the water phase is probably way to much fragrance oil.
