Shower Lotion Bar Tests and recipes

Totally. They kinda leave it on the consumer to try everything and decide what doesn't work for you, lol.

Your favorite oils to use for facial cleaning

Before my skin became *ahem* mature, I used half castor and half grapeseed and it worked great. A few years ago, it became drier and more combination, so I changed to just plain olive oil. Sometimes I added some avocado (these were straight from the kitchen, likely from Costco). These days I...

Shower Lotion Bar Tests and recipes

My understanding is that in the US, the FDA has a pretty wide and open definition of "fragrance," because a lot of times it's proprietary. I don't know how much (or if at all) they regulate what exactly is in those fragrances. ETA: Fragrances in Cosmetics

What Bath & Body Thing Have You Done Today?

You might also be able to use a heat gun or blow dryer on the tops. That'll melt the top portion and smooth them out. (Works for candles too. ;) )

SMF JANUARY 2024 CHALLENGE – Mini Drop [Mini Drip] Swirl

Debating whether I'm going to enter anything. I've made three attempts, none of which look good. I do have the time to try once more before the deadline, but honestly I'm feeling pretty discouraged. I might just sit back and look at all of the rest of y'all's pretty creations! :)

    What Would Cause This?

It looks like you had a lot of bubbles in your batter. Did you stick blend it? Sometimes you can unintentionally incorporate air bubbles into your soap. Also, how thick was it when you poured it? If your batter had bubbles and was was a a thick trace, it'd be nearly impossible to get those...

    How Soap Kills COVID

True, but the point of the graphic is more about handwashing than anything taken internally. Feel better soon!

How do you choose your color palettes?

Yep - this! The bottom part is uncolored, with a slightly-discoloring FO. I added some ground oats for the “sand” effect.

Sounds like you need to plan a trip to the US! 😁 I’d say that Tennessee is nice this time of year, but it’s not…..it’s really not.

What's for Dinner tonight ? What are you having ?

Tonight is chicken thighs braised with carrots, potatoes, and mushrooms. Braised in homemade stock and homegrown sage, rosemary, and thyme. :nodding:

How do you choose your color palettes?

So I took a FO - Coconut Citrus Sorbet (BB) - closed my eyes, and inhaled. It was an easy one, but of course I smelled the beach. This was intended to be a challenge entry, but as you can see, it didn’t “drip” well (too thick; I soaped too hot due to my impatience). Anyway, I do like how the...
