We are having a rodeo in our town and I would like to create some special soaps for the occasion. Any ideas what EO's I can combine to create a special "cowboy" scent? Flavour oils are difficult to get hold of and I know very little about EO's, so any help or ideas will be appreciated.

Made a small batch of lavender this morning. Loadshedding rudely interrupted my sb and now I have spots of purple instead of a smooth gentle lilac. 🥺. Would probably have to rebatch? At least the soaproom smells nice again after all my experiments.

100% tallow. Citric acid as per website - adjust lye amount. 0% superfat. Normal EO % lemon. Smells beautifull. Works on all materials, all colours. Evenngood fot greasy dishea. 💥💯

I make one with citric acid and lemon essential oils. 0 superfat. Tallow. The feedback is wonderful

Is there any reason why I should not mix pigment into melted oils before adding lye? I am quite sure of the amount to add, based on previous batches and want an exact colour match on 2 different pours.

What have I done to myself today?! Decided it is time to test some colours. Divided my miniature 250gr mold up into like blocks - 16 of them - made one batch and started to add colour in little shot glasses. What a mess! Foolishly I decided to soap colder to slow trace - clearly not keeping in...

Ok, I have now tried Windhoek Lager, Pine Tar, Egg, Aloe, Jaggermeister and Castle Milk Stout - waiting for all of these to cure so I can start testing them. There are so many complaints about the smells coming out of the "soap room" that I guess I have to calm down a bit with the smelly...
