    White Spots ?

I vote for the TD as well. That's what it looks like when I use hard to mix (ie; most brands!) of TD.

Using Fresh Mountain Snow Melt for CP Soap

No competition here for that @dibbles, but even Southern California is colder than usual. My sister in Santa Monica had hail this morning. Global warming is fun! Said nobody, ever.

    Yay for broken ankles

I remember reading years ago that we are all pre-disabled. As I age (I am now 61) it is steadily being borne in upon me how true that is. I'm relatively healthy, but there are still many differences in my body now and the one that I had when I was younger, even 10 years ago.

    Mobjack Bay 2024

I really can't use woodworking tools, I don't have enough strength/steadiness in my hands. But I can cook! I think I'm happier cooking for myself and paying for soap stuff than the other way around, so it's all good.

March 2024 SMF Challenge - Stone Soaps!

That looks like so much fun, @dmcgee5034! Enjoy every second of it and join in on the next challenge! @Tammyfarms, I love your soapdough stones! I didn’t realize you could get such subtle effects by mixing it like that.

    What happened to Zany_in_CO?

I think people just get involved with other things and get busy with them sometimes. I stopped soaping for seven-ish years and then came back to soaping and the board. I still do a lot of searches here and wonder what happened to people I knew from my first stint who used to post a lot (and...

Soap recipe for older thin skin

I am a potty mouth as well, but mostly when it comes to insulting myself for doing something stupid (which happens often). Usually when I'm talking aloud to myself. I've been doing it so long I can't break the habit even though people who don't know me give me sideways glances.

    Mobjack Bay 2024

I usually am quite happy with my single life. It is only when I hear about these partners who have all these tools that they use to make soapy presents that I wonder if I made a mistake :)

March 2024 SMF Challenge - Stone Soaps!

I know, I want to try and get something that looks like the California state stone. And gem (although that wil probably just be for fun if I get to it since I don't think we can do gemstones on this challenge.)

    Shampoo Bar

It will really depend on your hair. It is a continuing debate here as to whether CP bars are good for hair or not. From comments it seems like for the majority of people they are not, but the minority really like them and can use them without issue. Unfortunately it seems like sometimes it...

Soap recipe for older thin skin

I think I would be nervous that *they* would think that I was trying to drive a point home as hard as I could. Maybe time to switch to cream/lotion with them, @Tammyfarms :)

Shower Lotion Bar Tests and recipes

That's interesting, @Mobjack Bay, when I use these bars it doesn't seem like the shower floor gets slippery (I only shower, don't take baths, that might be different.) I don't know if I am using less than you were, I rub the bar over all the parts I want it on and then put it down and rub the...

What Bath & Body Thing Have You Done Today?

Sorry, you guys, I just spaced out. Thanks for reminding me.

    Labeling

With colorants I only use mica, oxides, titanium dioxide, and activated charcoal, and list them as such. For FOs (I almost alway use them rather than EOs) , I just list "fragrance". I don't sell and never have, but probably the most respected authority on this is Marie Gale's Soap and...

    Labeling

If I were going to include an allergen advisory, I think it would be something more like: "Please read ingredients label for list of potential allergens" and then would make sure to list all the ingredients in order of amount. Federal law does not require listing ingredients for CP; state law...

    Pullthrough

I definitely hope you do post the results! That sounds like it it could be really interesting. The next frontier of pull-throughs (cue Star Trek music :)) ETA: re smaller pours/more pour time, does your batter stay consistent throughout? That is the hardest part for me, getting the trace...

Thanks, @DeeAnna (for the reply and carrying the water on the fo board for so long).

    That *is* tempting!

    My fragrance reviews

Here's a page from mine in the "Warm" fragrance notes category. I am such a luddite that I do it as a table, much less useful when it come to sorting, I sometimes have to go through the whole list, which is really long, with the search function when I'm trying to find a specific FO from a...
