    Uses for old oil?

These aren’t rancid, but they’re too old for soap. What can I use them for, anything?

    New lip balm tool!

I also got mine on amazon. Wish I'd bought the beaker with the handle! But the hotplate magnetic stirrer that I got was just $35

How do you clean lip balm mix from your glass beakers after?

    New lip balm tool!

I’ve had my cardboard tubes in crazy high heat for many years and no issues with the waxed cardboard tubes. It may depend on the balm mix. I’m so excited to try it! Feels very mad science-y!!! Didn’t realize it did not come with the beakers as shown. Ordered some and now realized they make some...

    New lip balm tool!

So Bennys Balms on Etsy is where I buy my cardboard tubes. I was messaging with them about some of my lip balm making woes and they were very helpful! I should have waited to share until the beakers came, but I’m so excited! Magnetic stirring hot plate!!! Do you have tips, tools, or techniques...

    Cocoa Butter Sticker Shock!!!

My original recipe is %50 tallow, %20 cocoa butter, %20 beeswax, %10 jojoba, and I'm not liking any of my new experiments nearly as much. I may just have to bite the bullet and use cocoa butter. I keep trying to talk myself into palm kernel flakes, but I just can't.

    Cocoa Butter Sticker Shock!!!

I thought cacay was a typo and you meant cacao.

    Honey ideas?

I don’t eat much sugar, even though I love honey! Got any skin care uses?

    Cocoa Butter Sticker Shock!!!

If I buy organic beeswax pellets from Amazon and they’re yellow colored, does that mean they still have propolis and pollen?

    Honey ideas?

I’ve suddenly got a great source for cheap local organic honey! Do you have any heavy use ideas? I already make a soap, but it’s such a small amount.

    Lip balm advice.

Current workings on lip balm. Reformulating again due to cocoa butter being quadrupled the cost it once was. Loving using Deanna’s lip balm ratios with my preferred fats/oils! Currently pocket testing that recipe. But I think I like a slightly thicker balm like my previous recipe. The stevia...

    Cocoa Butter Sticker Shock!!!

My whole skin care line is tallow based. It's been my secret mission for the last 10 years to normalize tallow in skin care. It really is the best for skin! I'm excited for you to try it. I did a small batch test of 25g tallow, 25g beeswax, and 20g jojoba (I ran out of jojoba). It's soft, but...

    Cocoa Butter Sticker Shock!!!

That's really helpful! I'll look up her recipe. I'm trying to reformulate my tallow lip balm. It used to be Two parts tallow, one part beeswax, one part cocoa butter. But I just can't with the cocoa butter! Nope. It's awful sad! That's not even with shipping!! Robyn French does a good break...

    Cocoa Butter Sticker Shock!!!

OMG y'all! I'm just getting back to making stuff and I've been over here playing away making sample recipes of lip balm all willy nilly before I checked the cost of cocoa butter!!! Holy smokes! I'm glad I didn't buy a big batch of lip balm tubes! I don't even think I'm going to make anymore...

You e used it for lip balm?! I thought erythritol was grainy.

    Lip balm advice.

Well, the stevia extract tastes great! It didn’t blend in as good as I’d hoped. But it mostly stayed suspended. This bit of sediment at the bottom was disappointing.

    Lip balm advice.

Someone recommended a super fine stevia extract powder and I can't remember who, or find the comment. But, I ordered some and it came today and it's finer than powdered sugar and I'm SO excited! I think it could work well in lip balm!

    Lib Balm Sweetener

I'm going to try the stevia extract powder.
