    Force Gell after the fact

off subject here --- Those ovens are a workhorse😍!! We had an antique electric GE stove with double oven (side by side) in our apartment when we first got married in 1996. We brought it with us when we moved. We used it here as a second stove, then gave it to my brother in law who has a...

Can I salvage a brick of soap with glass shards on it?

wow! those 25lb blocks are not cheap If it was me...after cleaning the area and repeatedly vacuuming, then wiping down the soap block. I'd shave a bit off each edge and toss that. clean and vacuum the area again - wipe down the soap block again and use the rest for personal use. also I...

    Dryer water = distilled?

from what I can see thru a search on the good old internet, water from a condenser dryer is distilled but has not gone through a proper distillation process. So the water is not drinkable because it has impurities.

    Need help for shower favors

you made some pretty soaps. I agree with many others here. you have a glycerin dew issue. MP develops those crystals quickly in a humid environment, I usually shrink or Saran Wrap my MP soaps within a day or two. If I am unable to do that, I put them in a container in a dry environment. You...

Debating cancelling my Sams Club Card

we keep our sam's club membership because we do our grocery shopping and buy household items there as well. Our Plus membership earns cash back and it pretty much pays for itself that way. Like firefly said - many things can be ordered online...if you have a plus membership...free shipping on...

    Bathroom tile/tub replacement issues

you can save quite a bit of money by buying the fixtures, tub and surround at a local DIY store and having a handyman or contractor install it. can also save some money if you do the demo yourself.

    Bathroom tile/tub replacement issues

I don't recommend bath fitter for the reasons posted above as well. there is a epoxy coating that u can spray on the shower/bath tub. it requires sanding/prep work, then spray coat. the epoxy has a very strong chemical smell and needs ventilation. the DIY version at Home Depot/lowes lasted...

Help me out with a name?

I am in Ohio and live 5 minutes from Lake Erie, the water there is usually greenish/brown. Once in my life in the winter, it was the most beautiful blue I'd ever seen. Despite our beautiful beaches, the water usually is an ugly color LOL. ;) And unfortunately, the majority of the shores are...

Mixing CP soap by shaking bottles

it really works wonders on all of my greasy pans etc in the kitchen. I spray and let it soak for a bit, then wipe up with a paper towel if it's really greasy, then wash as usual. I save a lot of money by making my own refills. I just reuse the pump sprayer.

Mixing CP soap by shaking bottles

for the oily residue, I really love using Dawn Powerwash spray. It really does a great job on oil/grease. It can be made with rubbing alcohol, dawn dish soap, and water. (plenty of refill recipes online)

    National Shrink Wrap

I am not a fan of how Polyolefin shrinks either. The seams are very bulky and ugly. I much prefer PVC shrink wrap. However, Polyolefin has ventilation which is good for CP soap. Since I do MP I am able to use PVC without any issues.

How to get smell / odor out of a silicone mold

I had that happen to one of my silicone molds that was stored with scented candles. I put the mold in the top rack of the dishwasher and that helped some. I now keep all my molds separate from anything else. Any fragranced products are kept in another room since the majority of the soaps I...
