omg.. Bath Bombs.. don't get me started.. I just made a ton of Unicorn Poops today.. little tiny bath bombs which bring out the evil in me... lmaoooo Try again with coconut milk,, it does make such a creamy bar of soap. Maybe go half and half with distilled water and coconut milk in equal...

Activated charcoal batch crumbled to pieces

Usage rate for charcoal that I have is 1 tbsp/kg of soap. In a 15 lb recipe I use just over a 1/3 cup. Since the recipe I plugged in is under 5 lbs, I would suggest 2-3 tbsp. You could go for 4, and it will be really dark! :)

My Coconut Milk Soap - Fail (Sadness)

Coconut Milk does have alot more sugar than goat milk. And sugars heat up fast and make it thick. Same thing happens with honey! I find shea butter tends to speed up my trace with my goat milk recipe.

1 tbsp of charcoal to 1 kilogram of oils is my usage rate. You could grate it down and rebatch it, add some honey, some tea tree oil and have a rustic facial bar!! Awesome that she wants to join you making soap.. enjoy it!! My daughter did it for a while with me too.. and made some bath...

Activated charcoal batch crumbled to pieces

I make only goats milk soap and here are my thoughts.... without knowing your exact recipe.. Not new... but a new question

Very true.. and all my oils are skin and body safe and good for both soap and candles. Candle FO's are made to withstand the heat of the flame and give off a good scent throw. Many soap groups have soapers who sell off FO's they no longer use and there is a possibility of Candle FO's being...

Not new... but a new question

I've been making soap for a while now... and another thread "Oatmeal" made me think of this question... What happens if you use candle fragrance oils in cold process soap making? I know that FO's for bath and body should be skin safe.. but what happens if you use a candle FO in a soap batch? Has...

    oatmeal?

it sounds to me like ricing as well.. a mild form of it. Was the fragrance oil soap safe? YOu said that the FO possibly came from a candlemaking place. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

    Crayolas to color CP/HP soap

I am not sure if Health Canada allows crayons to be added to soap when you sell. I'm going to have to check that out!

    Emulsified sugar scrub recipe

I have always used a preservative in my sugar scrubs. Most times a persons fingers are going to be wet when they scoop out some scrub. I have never used beeswax, but love my scrub with cocoa butter and shea butter!! :)
