When to Add Citric Acid if Using Frozen Goat Milk

My brain needs very simple , so I use sodium citrate and use Anthony’s from Amazon. From Classic Bells “ Typical dosage for sodium citrate is 13 g to 39 g sodium citrate powder for every 1,000 g fats (1.3% to 3.9% of total fat weight). Use more for hard water, less for soft.”@DeeAnna. So I...

    Latest ZNSC

I made these in November last year. . ZNSC ( with 15% coconut, 5% castor) , raw goat milk with the salt and baking soda, infused olive oil with calendula, slightly scented with litsea EO. The other is olive oil infused with alkanet, fragranced with lavender EO, other stuff the same as above...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Can I ask you what you’re using to create your website? You may have said earlier- I seem to miss a lot of conversations. I apologize if it causes repetition. ☹️

    New Member Tonya Brown

We had snow this week and I’ve been collecting it to use for the lye solution. No, I’m not replacing it for the goat milk but maybe do 50/50. So, I thought maybe I’d look here to see who else has tried it and of course @Zany_in_CO pops up! I’m going outside to collect my third bucket. What I...

    Cannabis / Marijuana fragrance oils?

I’ve used the cannabis FO from WSP and played around with adding rosemary EO / patchouli EO in it. At first it was a little chemical smelling which is why I added the EOs. But after almost a year, it’s really pretty similar to cannabis..I guess as much as can be. I read that it’s a bit tough to...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Those are really pretty!!! I make my own cigar band labels using 65 lb wt card stock and the cricut. I get 4 labels to one sheet with a circle cut in the middle showing the bar, and the band covering up to both top and bottom edge. I really like the way they look.

    Stackable racks

I use the plastic needlepoint canvases on a three shelf metal rolling cart. I have three carts I got on sale at Michaels and then just cut the canvases to fit if needed . So far I’ve not had any problems.

    Its brrr here in Florida

Bless your heart Cat. I understand you’re bummed. When we take so much time to nurture life, no matter what type, it’s sad when we lose it. Hang in there as the nurturer is still in you.

Baby goats to Brighten Your Day

Thank you!! I can picture it! I kept waiting on Lucy and finally went inside for about 30 minutes. When I came out she was standing by a hay feeder with a back leg hanging out… I walked her in the barn and ended up doing as you did. The baby came out and right after that 3 more just popped out...

Baby goats to Brighten Your Day

Those babies are adorable! We had quads a few years ago and they were all breech! Our babies aren’t due until April this year but I’m starting to get anxious already. Your goats look really good!! Beautiful coats! I think we need a goat thread 😁

What soapy thing have you done today?

I think I’ll make a small batch today and watch what happens. I just had surgery and can’t do too much right now.. so that’ll be interesting to watch . Never made a master batch so have nothing to compare to. I’ll watch it for three days and take pictures of it.

What soapy thing have you done today?

Ewwww, geez… I see Pom poms again… I didn’t even think that it couldn’t be aloe.. but that makes sense. I know @zany kept her milk solution in the fridge overnight.. maybe I could do that and call it a day. When one master batches with water, how long does it last? Out of curiosity.. ETA...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I found a thread from 2017 mostly not recommending master batching straight goat milk, but I think it could be done with 1/2 something else? 1:1? Adding the other 1/2 later? I realize master batching is to save time right? But would also solve the frequent “bead” explosion ? I didn’t really...

What soapy thing have you done today?

@TashaBird , those are beautiful! I was never into bath bombs but now I can see how fun they are!! I love rainbow stuff. One of my daughters is infatuated with them too! Owl, this is interesting. I haven’t master batched because I make a lot of smaller batches using goat milk.. but I’m starting...

    Coronavirus

Unfortunately this isn’t proven so I was probably out of line to share. I hope you both get better soon! I tested negative too with a nasal swab. Finally starting to get better 👍🏼 Cat, I feel for you. I got out the end of 2020. I have two daughters and a son in law in it still. ER Dr, RN, and...
