Salt Bar Recipe - pulse check

I use 33% concentration. Water amount can affect trace time but as long as your soap is medium trace or so, the salt won't sink.

    Lard soap

First off, crisco isn't lard so what did you actaully use? Hand-made soap can be slickerer than commercial soap. If it was oily, you would have residue on your hands. 10 days is too young to start testing, let ir cure 4-6 weeks before testing

    MP + Mica + Glycerin = Glop...?

I'm guess the cold liquid you are mixing your mica in is thickening the soap. Personally I don't mix my mica with anything, I add it directly to the MP, just a little of the soap and take your time to mix in any lumps. You can make MP color blocks by mixing a little soap with a lot of mica, get...

They look great, makes sure to give them a nice long cure

    Powdered Fragrance..?

Yeah, that is odd. Makes me wonder if they don't really understand cp soap. As long as its skin safe, its worth a try

    New little man

They can be dang hard to tire out and it seems to get worse as they age and get fully muscled. Check out a flirt pole, they are simple to make and if he likes it, they can get tired out after just a few minutes. A snuffle mat might help to but again, need to watch he doesn't eat any of it. Oh...

    New little man

Glad to hear the carrots are a hit. You can also try green beans or any other veggies that are dog safe. I don't feed any kind of raw hide to power chewers, they tend to gulp them with little chewing and that can cause digestive issues. I've seen people give a head of cabbage for shredding but...

    How does this recipe look?

Good luck. Soap around 90 degrees or so, it helps slow teace even more

    New little man

Yes, they snore and fart pretty much from day one. Make sure any behavior you don't want in a solid brick of a adult, you curb now while he is young. My hubby though it was cute to let luna jump when she was little, now she is like a hurricane made of bricks. They generally come in 2 forms...

Embracing the brown of discoloring FOs

The brown is a bit darker irl. I used a vanilla heavy FO in the brown part, patchouli EO in the pink part

    EOs in water

I didn't know if cooties would grow like they do in herb/water infusions and I tend to forget about my bottle and leave it sitting out

    Snakes

@cmzaha I'm getting a new snakey tomorrow. I've really missed having a python and I'm trading off that evil hognose to boot!

    Attempted Lard Soap

Sounds like you have a seizing FO, what is it and where did you get it? Crisco is mostly soybean and not a good substitute for lard. Lard is generally a easy to work with fat, slow to trace and makes nice soap.

    Simple Sally or Fresh Milk?

    I like simply sally

    EOs in water

Thats kinda what I was thinking. Maybe I will just mix up a what can be used in a few days and keep it in the fridge. Its for my scalp and I really don't want to use preservatives.

    Dog Shampoo with Lemon Juice

This is a good video that explains what happens when too much acid is added to soap

    EOs in water

Would EOs in water need a preservative? Specifically rosemary and peppermint in a spray bottle, just a few drops of each

    Dog Shampoo with Lemon Juice

KiwiMoose is spot on, nothing is going to reduce the PH of lye soap. If you do, it won't be soap anymore, just a goopy mess. The high PH of soap is why many people don't recommend soap for dogs. I've used soap on my dogs with no issues and it really helps with my one dogs skin issues, I just...
