    Avocado Astringent

I had a client who asked me to make her some avocado astringent. I'm guessing that it's not avocado oil, right? Anyone have a recipe for this? Surely it wouldn't keep if it was real avocado. Thanks. Vickie

    Looking for small tea bags

I have a couple suppliers that have small tea bags that you iron shut, however, it's the only supply I need right now and the shipping is outrageous. Does anyone know of a supplier that will ship that 1st class mail? Thanks. Vickie

What are your customer's favorite scents and combos?

Thanks! I'll have to spend some time reading up there! :)

What are your customer's favorite scents and combos?

I need to stay away from florals (because I'm allergic), but I'm having a hard time coming up with a variety of scents. I have boosted vanilla, but it's just not strong enough. I'm left with citrus scents and mint scents. Am I missing anything? I have patchouli and cedarwood and some other...

Lotion bars end up with holes!

I put my lotion bars in twist up tubes. The first time I did it, everything went fine, but ever since then (and I've made about 4 batches), I get a hole in the center. So, hen I chop of the top and melt some more and patch the top. Ugh. What am I doing wrong? I have no idea what I did...

    Looking for strong orange scent

I use only essential oils (no fragrance oils). I'm looking for a good orange scent for lotions and oils. Which one should be the strongest, familiar orange scent? Blood Orange, mandarin, Sweet Orange, Orange 10 Fold, Tangerine? Thanks. Vickie

Labelling containers with .5 oz lotion

I have trial/sample size jars that hold about .5 ounce of product. I know that at a certain weight, I don't have to list the weight of the product inside the jar. Like lip balm doesn't require to have the net weight of lip balm listed. Yes, you can have it, but No, you're not required. Vickie

Labelling containers with .5 oz lotion

Labelling containers with .5 oz lotion

I know I read somewhere, (but can't find it) that under a certain weight, you didn't need to include it on the label. Was it .5 ounces? So if it's .5 or less, I can leave it off the label or is it that it has to be under .5 (like .49999) oz to qualify not to need it? Vickie

    Reasonable Shipping Costs

Oh. I guess I didn't realize I could ship first class mail in a box. Thanks. Vickie

    Reasonable Shipping Costs

So do you ship in a bubble padded envelope? Vickie

    Reasonable Shipping Costs

I've looked online and noticed that people who sell on sites like Etsy or 1000markets are shipping their lotions (even the ones in jars) for $3.00 domestic. How in the world are they doing that? Padded envelopes? I am scared to do that. However, if my shipping costs are too high compared to...

    EO's scent in shea butter

Thanks for the link! And now that you both say so, I DID know that juniperberry was an evergreen. What a DUH moment. Vickie

    EO's scent in shea butter

I do not want to use frangrance oils in my products, only EO's. My problem is that many oils seem not to be as pungent as I'd hoped. I end up using a lot AND they don't always smell the way I think they should. For example juniperberry doesn't smell like a berry at all. How much should I be...

    Psoriasis

Yes! I'm sure different things work for different people. I made a cream with Raw Shea Butter, Organic Avocado Oil, Castor Oil, Grapefruit Seed Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Oregano Oil, Rosemary Oil. Regular refined shea butter did nothing for me. I had to use the raw shea. Oh -- note on...

Labelling Requirements (therapeutic) and Expiration Dates

I have read through those pages before.... that's why it's so hard to figure out. I was hoping that someone with experience in this would let me know what they put on their labels. After all, there are a ton of people on Etsy selling similar things. They seem to all have different cautions on...

    Psoriasis

I know that shea butter actually should not be used for psoriasis because shea promotes skin cell formation, which is what psoriasis is, over active skin cell formation. I like the idea of the rooibos tea. gonna buy some of that. Actually, I use raw shea butter on myself and it works...
