I've been using 2 heaping tbs sugar for my 3.5 lb oil batches. After reading this I think I am going to try upping that amount to 4tbs per batch. Question: can you add sugar to your salt bars? Will it work the same in a salt bar adding more bublage?

I also use aloe juice as my full liquid. My customers tell me it helps relieve itchy skin. I use it myself and I have also noticed it helps with my dry itchy skin especially in winter. I can't say whether or not it helps lather as the soap I use it in lathers as well as my non-aloe soaps.

I forgot to add one of the reasons I like using water for my lye solution is I know I can dissolve tussah silk in it. I want to make ls with silk so that is next on the agenda to try out.
