    Castor oil smells bad

Just an update in case someone finds this thread on a search... I hadn't got around to posting right away but, WholesaleSuppliesPlus is a super standup company. They took care of the problem even faster than they said they would and handled it with professionalism and amazing customer service...

    ISO_Pineapple Cilantro

I haven't tried any from Soapsupplies.net, but if you can't find any and haven't tried Brambleberry's, I'd be happy to send you a sample of it as a sniffie and in soap. The quality is very good and it lasts a long time in cured soap though I don't know how it compares scentwise.

Change a fragrance oil to cured scent?

Here are the results of the very informal FO scent morph test I did: To note, my nose isn't that great due to all year seasonal allergies and I may have missed minor changes to the scent that others would notice. All in all to my nose, this particular fragrance stayed pretty true with mostly...

    Castor oil smells bad

Was pretty sure it wasn't supposed to smell like that. Tons of people were complaining of the smell when I googled, but could find a description of what the smell was supposed to be. Going to call Monday...wish me luck, been having a bad run of it with suppliers and makers this past month. Good...

    Disinfectant Spray

Bleach is the most effective disinfectant, but is also the most damaging. For surfaces and items that can handle it, it's the best and the cheapest. It is also one of the better options for soap making/bb equipment. Good old soap and water is also incredibly effective in reducing germs to a much...

Change a fragrance oil to cured scent?

Great ideas! I was ready to give up, but I think I'll go ahead and play mad scientist in the kitchen come this weekend. I'll post back when I find out if anything works or not! :)

    Castor oil smells bad

I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but should castor oil smell similar to rotten eggs? Was making soap earlier today and emptied my last 16 oz bottle of castor. Opened up the new 7 lb bottle and the smell that came out was terrible. Checked the empty bottle and it smelled similar but not nearly...

Change a fragrance oil to cured scent?

Thank y'all for the replies! Unfortunately it doesn't change enough in the lotion and the scent is way too sticky sweet (think, ate too much candy bellyache sweet). Put the lotion on once and ended up trying to wash it off/ take a bath in the sink at work. Now every so often I just open...

Change a fragrance oil to cured scent?

I was wondering if anyone here knows by accident or on purpose if you can get a fragrance oil to safely change into the cured in soap version of itself without being in soap. Here's the explanation...one of the first scents I got when I started soaping was Marrakesh from BB and it became my...

    Disinfectant Spray

Let me start by saying this is not meant to be negative towards you or your idea, just to give you a few things to think about if you decide to put money out to pursue this. A large portion of my job deals with preventing pathogenic contamination on a daily basis and I use medical grade surface...

Freezer Paper-where do you buy it?

Hello, I'm one of the lurkers here :). Susie, it says you live in Tx, so if you have an HEB in your town, they have a good price on their store brand freezer paper. It's in the aisle with the foil and parchment paper. Here's a link for what it looks like...
