    Hi there, sorry i'm sure thbis query has been aswered again and again and again but i'm struggling to find the relevant post here. In short - why would i want to avoid gelling my soaps - and also whats the best way to speed up saponification if not gelling....? Thanks

    baby soap cleansing factor

    I understand that in commercial terms a 'baby' soap or other cosmetic product is that which is deemed suitable for a child 3 years and under. I would have thought that kids of 1, 2 and 3 all need 'cleansing' after....well, in my experience.....after anything they do ha ha!

    extending shelf life

    I understand that adding vit E oil to my products extends the shelf life of oils. Can anyone advise me of how long this is by? Also, i want to use organic sunflower oil - what is the shelf life of this (without the addition of vit e)?

    weighing scales (UK)

    I bought scales from 'county scales'. They were really helpful guys there and gave me some really specific advice. I'd say, dont scrimp on your scales - they're the most expensive piece of kit i've bought and they were worth every penny. You really need to know that you're using accurate weights.
