There's too many factors to tell what went wrong! I didn't even do a pencil line, which is odd that I have a dark separation of layers. I think I'll experiment in a smaller batch with the powdered milk

Wow, that'd bad. I ordered a box of lye from ED a few months ago that got damaged. UPS returned it to them and I got a replacement. Their customer service is very good, I would really suggest sending them a message.
