    Selling your projects

I don't sell my stuff to the general public, just family and friends; but I'm a professional web designer and should I decide to sell my soaps, I'd do a personal web site (of course! ) and perhaps also do some local craft shows and possibly some on ebay to get my name out there while my...

    Sewing machine

I have a Bernina Artista 170e with the embroidery module and a Bernina serger. Bernina is definitely the high-end; but great machines. Pfaff, White and Singer are also well known good brands. Kenmore is also good and reasonably priced.

    Indestructible dog toys?

I buy real beef knuckle bones for my puppies/dogs and they love those! Most anything else and they destroy it. Mine didn't seem to care much for Kongs, although they've never destroyed one. I did buy a bone recently at Walmart that they love - can't remember the name of it! Ugh!! It's got...

    Insomnia

I too take a bath in my huge garden whirlpool tub every night to help me relax and READ while I'm soaking in the tub. If I need extra help getting to sleep, the herb Valerian works much better for me than melatonin.

    TV

Not a huge TV fan here - mostly not enough time; but I do enjoy House, CSI, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, pretty much any of the Star Trek shows and Smallville. I do enjoy most of the movies on Hallmark channel too. :)

    New Here

Hello I just found this forum today and joined. I've been making CP soap for about 6 years. It's just a hobby mostly, although I do have a few folks (family and friends) who buy soap and lotions from me occasionally. I'm a confirmed bath stuff junkie. I love it! I love making my own, and...

    lyeless soap

Hello - as others have posted, it could be the oils used in your recipe; for example, too much % of coconut oil can be drying. I assume you used a lye calculator for your recipe? I personally superfat my soaps about 6%, but if you don't measure very carefully, you could end up with a bar...
