Hello Everyone, I have only tried to make salt bars once, which was a fail because I used Dead Sea Salt and it turned out pitted and gross. I want to try a small batch again and I found a recipe that some say worked well for them. It's a little out of my comfort zone when the SoapCalc shows...

Just curious what kinds of Christmas soap everyone is making. I have made a few but looking for some more ideas. Hope this is the correct forum for asking this question.

I have used Extra Virgin Olive Oil in every recipe since I started making soap....nothing else. I was looking at the price difference between Refined Olive Oil, Pomace Oil and EVOO. What is everyones thoughts on the Refined and Pomace?

I'm sorry... Soap making is often tricky and I guess I still feel like a beginner.

I haven't used Lard in a long time so I apologize, I could not remember the price. However, being in Canada, I order quite a bit of stuff from Voyageur Soap and Candle and New Directions Aromatics. They are both great. :) I also get some things from Saffire Blue :)

Wow...sorry for that. I have never used Vanilla stabilizer in any of my soaps and I didn't mind the chocolaty colour. I am not putting my customers in any harm so I think they are safe.
