I also have that FO & it is a strong FO that sticks in CP soap. It has a definite pine smell to it but as mentioned above, not 💯 pine. Alpine Frost from Nurture Soap is also a “pine”ish FO. Not as strong & a tad less “chemical” smelling than Winter Wonderland from WSP & not as strong @ 3%PPO.

I love soapy saponification science. Made my 4th and final INS160 soap batch. Each batch made using same water/lye concentration & SF but with different oils. However each batch had almost matching % of CO (18-20%) & castor (5%). Once they have all cured at least 4 weeks, my plan is to “test”...

@Obsidian I’ve used GW415 soy wax @ 25%. The one thing I’ve noticed when using soy wax is I barely need to stick blend. 2-3 one second bursts is all it really takes for me to reach light trace.

Soap making is a hobby so I won’t be selling them. I will test one in a few weeks & if okay the family will use them but I am not really liking the “Amber romance” FO that much either.

I picked up 1 favorite (black raspberry vanilla) & 7 new ones. Anxiously awaiting their arrival. 😊

The 1st thing I’ve seen is a major color change has occurred. 1st soap was mostly uncolored batter with a light blue swirl. The FO was supposed to cause discoloration so I wanted to see exactly what the discoloration looked like. When I cut the soap missing the CO this morning it was quite white...

I cut my 1st soap fail today. Accidentally left out CO! Started a thread about it but can’t seem to copy/paste it here. 🤔

I made a small batch of soap yesterday (I4oz) & for 1st time ever I weighed out my CO & set in fridge because my kitchen was hot. WRONG MOVE! I found said CO in fridge this morning AFTER cutting a very crumbly soap. 🤦‍♀️OyVey! My question 🙋‍♀️ Can I shred the new soap, add my pre-measured CO...
