When pondering this issue & thinking about the last time this happened. It has always been the soaps that I made using 1lb silicone loaf mold from NS. Could be just a coincidence but that is also one thing each crumbly batch has had in common. However, not every batch so probably not the issue. 🤔

At the ratification meeting for the next 3 year contract, that was just approved, I learned that secretarial start date is two days later than previous contracts. That means I can re-do that soap tomorrow.

Today is my last day of summer break and I wasn’t able to go kayaking so I made two small batches of soap. ✨🧼Everything went smooth from start to finish, but… 😂 as I was writing down my notes I realized I’d forgotten to weigh out much less use the Pumice for the bergamot lime scrubby soap. 🤦‍♀️

She mentions in the video that some EO’s thicken. Stands to reason that FO’s will as well. Just this morning I added WSP’s “Fifty Shades” FO @1% and it did a great job & thickening a 50/50 RBO+CO LS!

I diluted some soap paste for liquid soap. Just for kicks I scented with “Revive” from EO calc. Smells pretty darn good.😌

Your colored bars have some lovely color. Mine never seem to come out that brilliant. May I ask what you used for color?

I make liquid soap from paste & my water % depends on how thin or “thick” I want the end result to be. For your 1st time making liquid soap, I’d recommend following a tried & true recipe that comes with directions & % listed for batch adjustments. I know I’ve seen one on SMF or at least a link...

What about wax? I am thinking those little cheese rounds covered in red wax. Could you cover metal or cardboard with a layer of wax, to shield the materials from rusting or getting soggy?

Same. Don’t sell, but 1st time I gift a lotion bar I place in a metal tin. If a replacement is wanted I place in a compostable Kraft treat bag like @AliOop mentions above.
